SsangYong Tivoli – ascent. Discounts, bonuses and new prices: when is the best time to buy a car?

In January 2015, the South Korean SsangYong company organized an official demonstration of the new subcompact crossover called Tivoli, on the development of which over $320 million was spent, and its European display took place a few months later at the international Geneva shows.

Already in the summer of the same year, the car went on sale in the countries of the Old World. But he received the “Russian price tag” only in December 2016.

Externally, the SsangYong Tivoli looks attractive and fresh, fully consistent with modern trends crossover fashion. In the appearance of the SUV, attention is drawn to the “two-story” radiator grille, pointed lighting equipment, flat roof and clearly defined wheel arches, which define 16-inch “rollers” in their depths.

By overall dimensions Tivoli does not go beyond the subcompact class: its length is 4195 mm, height – 1590 mm, width – 1795 mm. The distance between the axes and ground clearance the “Korean” has 2600 mm and 167 mm, respectively. In “combat” form, the vehicle weighs from 1270 to 1390 kg, depending on the version.

The interior of the SsangYong Tivoli is designed in a nice and ergonomic style, but lacks any bright details. The stylish multifunctional steering wheel of the SUV is truncated in the lower part in a sporty way, and the instrument panel, containing a pair of deep “wells” and a display on-board computer, interesting to look at and clear in practice. The narrowed center console exposes the 7-inch monitor multimedia system and an original zonal “climate” unit (in the “base” there is a double-din radio and air conditioning). The interior of the car is decorated with high-quality, albeit inexpensive materials.

The Tivoli's five-seat cabin in the front is equipped with profiled seats with noticeable support on the sides, heating and the necessary adjustments. Back row The seats, with their adjustable backrest angle, have a comfortable shape, but offer only enough space for two people.

Volume cargo compartment the SsangYong Tivoli has 423 liters. The “gallery” is transformed in a ratio of 60:40 (but a completely flat rookery is not obtained), which increases the useful capacity to 1115 liters.

Specifications. Tivoli is equipped with two power plants, working together with 6-speed “mechanics” or “automatic”, front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive transmission With multi-plate clutch, if necessary, connecting the wheels rear axle.

  • The diesel version of the crossover is equipped with an in-line four-cylinder unit with a volume of 1.6 liters (1597 cubic centimeters) with turbocharging, 16-valve timing and direct fuel injection, developing 115 Horse power at 3400-4000 rpm and 300 Nm of maximum potential at 1500-2500 rpm. Such a car can accelerate to a maximum of 172-175 km/h and on average consumes 4.3-5.9 liters of fuel in combined conditions per “hundred” of travel.
  • An alternative to diesel is gasoline naturally aspirated engine 1.6 liters (1597 cubic centimeters) with a distributed power system, four in-line oriented “pots” and a 16-valve timing belt, the performance of which reaches 128 “mares” at 6000 rpm and 160 Nm of rotating thrust at 4600 rpm. For every 100 km of travel, an SUV with this engine consumes 6.6-7.6 liters of fuel in mixed mode, and the limit of its capabilities is 175-181 km/h.

The SsangYong Tivoli is based on a front-wheel drive platform with a transversely based power unit and a monocoque body, the design of which widely uses high-strength steel grades (their share exceeds 70%). The front suspension of the car is independent with McPherson struts, and the rear suspension is semi-independent with torsion beam on front-wheel drive versions and multi-link on all-wheel drive.
The rack and pinion steering complex on the “Korean” has been supplemented electric amplifier controls with three operating modes (Normal, Sport, Comfort), and brake system formed by ventilated discs on the front and discs on the rear axle and modern electronic assistants (ABS, EBD, BA).

Options and prices. On Russian market The SsangYong Tivoli can be purchased in two equipment options (but only with a gasoline engine and front-wheel drive transmission) – “Welcome” and “Original”.

The basic package is priced at 999,000 rubles, and its functionality includes: two airbags, electric windows on all doors, ABS, air conditioning, standard audio for six speakers, 16-inch alloy wheels, external mirrors with electrical adjustments and heating, power steering and some other bells and whistles.
A more “advanced” version costs from 1,269,000 rubles, and among its privileges (in addition to the “automatic”) are: heated front seats, rear sensors parking, “music” with six speakers and a multifunction steering wheel.

The car body consists of more than 70% high-strength steel, of which about 40% is the strongest low-alloy steel. To provide maximum protection for occupants in the event of an accident, ten key areas of the structure have been further strengthened, increasing impact resistance to 1,500 J/m2. Also available here anti-lock braking system(ABS), electronic system distribution braking forces(EBD) and driver's front airbag.

In the interior of the crossover, everything is thought out to the smallest detail. For example, steering wheel has a comfortable, sporty D-shape, as well as audio and function control keys speakerphone. If you look through it, you'll see a trip computer display between the speedometer and tachometer, putting important information right in the driver's field of vision, so you don't have to take your eyes off the road. Between the front seats there is an armrest with cup holders. To services front passenger not only roomy glove box, but also a convenient open niche where you can put, for example, a smartphone.

SsangYong Tivoli supports three driving modes: Sport - increases steering sensitivity by high speeds, to ensure the fastest possible response of the car to the driver’s commands; Comfort - makes it easier to maneuver when parking or driving at low speeds; Normal - standard mode for driving at medium and high speeds. By simply switching the buttons located on the panel to the left of the steering wheel, you can change the way the car behaves, which will make the driving process even easier and more enjoyable.

The most significant competition is in the small crossover segment. Within a few recent years, cars of this type have become very popular. Their supporters are attracted by the high driving position, which gives a feeling of security, as well as a fairly high ground clearance, which allows them to easily overcome curbs. Therefore, it is not surprising that almost every manufacturer strives to have a model of this type in its range. Can you count on something? Korean SsangYong in a market dominated by reputable Japanese and European brands? Let's try to find out during the first test of the Tivoli model.

The oldest associations that evoke SsangYong brand, are associated with Musso SUVs, which could be found about fifteen years ago. Of the more recent ones, I remember the dubious beauty of Rodius - quite functional and spacious car. Currently, the company's offer includes five models, plus a sixth - the one that was tested. To the average person, all of these cars are exotic.

The long-announced Tivoli opens new page in the history of the Korean manufacturer. Its name is associated with a resort town near Rome. But what is important is that this is the first independently developed model after the acquisition of this brand by the Indian concern Mahindra & Mahindra Limited in 2010. A year later, the world saw the first concept car from the XIV series, which, after several changes, turned into new car. It is worth noting that the Koreans completed their plans, and less than four years later they reported that small crossover will appear now.

From the outside, the car impresses with body features that are completely new for SsangYong. Apart from the icon and the shape of the mask, it has nothing in common with other models. The front of the car is decorated with large headlights with LED lights for day driving. Causes controversial feelings rear end this vehicle– numerous transitions make it difficult to form a positive opinion about her. Distinctive feature The Tivoli is an extension directly under the C-pillar that creates a muscular effect on the body. The design of the 18-inch wheels that come with the richest version of Sapphire is also worthy of praise (they can also be ordered as a package). Overall, everything looks pretty fresh and proportional. In addition, the manufacturer assures that there are wide possibilities for personalization - a combination of two body colors is possible.

Traditionally for urban crossovers, there is no shortage of black plastic inserts. They should not be interpreted as claims to SUV status. However, it was not possible to test such capabilities of the car - the 4x4 version should appear on the market later. Judging by the segment as a whole, this is rather a matter of style.

The editors have at their disposal Gas engine volume 1.6 l and power 128 hp. Currently, this is the only Tivoli variant, but in the future the range of engines should be replenished with a 115-horsepower diesel engine. In the car being tested power unit worked in tandem with a 6-speed manual box gears (an automatic transmission is optionally available, which will cost 1400 Euro more). This package allows you to develop maximum speed 170 km/h, which is 10 km/h more than with automatic transmission. Despite the relatively good declared power, the car did not give the impression of being restive. Without knowing this figure, I would guess that it has 15-20 fewer horses. Interior soundproofing – on good level, at the permitted speed of 140 km/h, you can talk calmly without experiencing any difficulties.

Fuel consumption over a distance of just over 100 km was about 7 l/100 km. We drove in a variety of conditions - in the city, in the countryside, on the freeway and on gravel roads. It is worth noting that no cracking of plastic elements was noticed on the latter.

New is the SmartSteer function, which allows you to set the steering mode. You can choose from three settings: sport, normal and comfort modes. The difference is felt by the change in resistance when turning the steering wheel, although this does not greatly affect the driving experience. Comfort mode makes maneuvering more free.

Let's move on to the interior, which, at first glance, makes a good impression. Well-profiled seats (which, moreover, are quite comfortable), as well as the large screen of the multimedia system, attract attention. Top part dashboard The passenger side is covered with a pleasant soft material. The rest is, unfortunately, a little hard. In general, the quality of plastic is not amazing, but for a car in this segment everything is within normal limits.

A stylish highlight is the ability to choose the color of the indicator illumination - from temperamental red, azure or yellow to more discreet white, blue and black. Koreans offer three design options - black, beige and red. The last of them is especially attractive - not only because of its color, but also because of its interesting combination with the red edging of the steering wheel at a quarter to three. Considering the corresponding proportions, one can compare this solution with that used in Lexus LFA. The steering wheel itself, which, according to the manufacturer, resembles an airplane steering wheel, looks modern and sporty. I was a little surprised by the slight flattening at the bottom. Will this solution really be convenient for urban conditions in which this car will spend 99% of the time?

The functionality of the interior is not satisfactory. There are quite enough pockets. The one on the passenger side deserves particular praise. Its hole is not very large, but the depth is impressive. Elements that the SsangYong Tivoli can boast of are rear legroom and a 424-litre boot. The trunk can best be described as organized and roomy, especially compared to the competition.

On European market This car will be available in four versions - Crystal Base, Crystal, Quartz and Sapphire. The price of the cheapest one starts from 14,000 Euros; for the most expensive one you will have to pay 5,000 Euros more. IN standard equipment includes belts with double pretensioners and smartsteer system with various modes steering control. Unfortunately, most elements (for example, the choice of clock backlight) are only available in the most expensive versions. But it should be noted that additional functions this newcomer from the east is no different from its competitors - the richest version of Sapphire has, among other things, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry, power seats, a 7-inch multimedia screen and HDMI and USB ports.

After the presentation there was some surprise. Earlier reports that Tivoli was opening completely new era V SsangYong stories, caused skepticism. But familiarization with the car confirmed such statements. Good materials inside, interesting equipment (especially in the Sapphire version), decent power unit. The Koreans entered the fight in a difficult class, where there are many recognized rivals. Therefore, they must first of all attract by price. It is (at least in Europe) - compared to the Renault Captura or Opel Mokka with similar engines, basic model SsangYong is 2,000 Euro cheaper; but in the case of more equipped specimens, this difference disappears.

Still, the Tivoli feels like a decent car. If someone likes the style offered by Asians and is not afraid of a brand that is unpopular in our country, you can safely go for a test drive. Next year the manufacturer plans to release an extended version of this model. Who knows, maybe SsangYon is at the beginning of the path that KIA went through a few years ago?

In January two thousand fifteen South Korea the long-awaited presentation of the new crossover SsangYong Tivoli, which took 3.5 years and more than $320 million to develop. The European premiere of Sanyeng Tivoli 2018-2019 (photo and price) took place at the March Geneva Motor Show.

Solutions for a serial SUV were tested by the manufacturer on a whole scattering of concepts demonstrated at all major car shows. The new SsangYong received the name Tivoli in honor of a small Italian town located thirty kilometers from Rome.

Options and prices SsangYong Tivoli 2019

MT6 - 6-speed manual, AT6 - 6-speed automatic.

The appearance of Sanyeng Tivoli 2018 is made in the new corporate style of the company. The car sports head optics with LED sections, muscular wings, stylish elongated rear lights and an original black stripe above the side windows, visually separating the roof, which can be painted in a color different from the body shade.

Overall length new SsangYong Tivoli is 4,195 mm, wheelbase - 2,600, width - 1,795, height - 1,590 mm. The trunk volume is 423 liters, and when the backrests of the rear sofa are folded, a flat floor is formed.

In addition, SsangYong representatives say that Tivoli received ample opportunities for personalization and the highest quality interior trim in the class, and when developing the model the task was to “combine all the advantages of a crossover with the comfort and convenience of a sedan.”

The crossover is built on new platform, the front suspension uses an independent McPherson design, and the rear suspension uses a torsion beam. The steering is equipped with electric power and has three operating modes: Normal, Comfort and Sport.

Basic engine for front-wheel drive SsangYong versions Tivoli 2018 (specifications) has a new 1.6-liter gasoline engine e-XGi160 with 126 hp (160 Nm), combined with a 6-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission. Later, an all-wheel drive modification appeared with a diesel engine of the same volume with an output of 115 horsepower.

Updated SsangYong Tivoli 2018

In July the seventeenth, SsangYong introduced an updated Tivoli crossover. The restyled version of the model has the prefix Armor in its name, which translates as “armor” or “armour”, while it can be distinguished from the pre-reform all-terrain vehicle by a different design of the exterior and interior.

Front on SsangYong Tivoli Armor received new bumper with diode fog lights, which, according to Korean designers, should be shaped like the protective pads on the shoulders of American football players. In addition, the SUV was given a different radiator grille.

The company has expanded the color palette of the model and added several new options for 17-inch rims. Also for the 2018 Tivoli, a special Gear Edition appeared, which has a two-tone body decorated with applications of stripes and numbers.

As for the interior, here the Koreans used higher quality finishing materials, they added LED backlight(for example, in a niche on the front panel), improved the seat profile and changed the climate control interface.

The car can also boast more high level noise and vibration insulation, but technical stuffing remained unchanged. In South Korea, sales of the updated Tivoli Armor started on July 20, 2017 at a price of 16,510,000 won.

What is the price

Initially, it was reported that Sang Yong Tivoli would be sold in Russia, and its production was going to be established at the Sollers plant in the Far East. This should have happened at the beginning of 2016, but the crisis made adjustments, so that in the end this model appeared at the beginning of 2017 (we are talking about Korean-assembled cars).

The price of the new SsangYong Tivoli 2019 in Russia starts from 999,000 rubles for the initial Welcome version with front-wheel drive and manual transmission. For a car with an automatic transmission they ask for 1,199,000 rubles. (this is already the Original package), but there is only one engine for both - a 1.6-liter gasoline unit at 126 horsepower.

The base contains only ABS, driver's airbag and air conditioning, and the Original version is supplemented rear parking sensors, heated front seats and a standard audio system. There is no information about the appearance of a restyled version of the SUV.
