The Japanese government strongly encouraged such an initiative of the promising company. In 1936, the first-born Toyota appeared - the G1 truck, and a little later the AA sedan and AB phaeton. It is not surprising that the first Toyota cars resembled cars from overseas brands, such as Dodge and Chevrolet. In 1937, the automobile division was transformed into an independent structure - Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. Saw the light in 1938 Toyota car AE. During World War II, the company produced trucks for the Japanese army. Due to the severe shortage in Japan at that time, military trucks were made in the most simplified versions. Moreover, exports, which started in 1957, were not limited to the United States, they also affected Brazil. True, the first attempt to export Toyota cars to American market It didn't end very well. But soon, after adjusting the implementation strategy, Toyota corrected this and opened an official representative office in the USA. By the way, this was not Toyota’s first foreign outpost. 1994 Toyota RAV4

In addition, Toyota continues its global expansion. And in new developments, much attention is paid to the environment. That is why, in 1997, the world's first serial hybrid was put on production line. Toyota Prius. The year before, in 1996, Toyota produced its 90 millionth car, and three years later – its 100 millionth car. In 2000, sales of the Prius model reached 50 thousand worldwide, and a new generation of RAV4 was launched. By the way, the company’s European design center was opened at the same time. Toyota Corolla is one of the popular models among modern buyers. The reliability of its operation, simplicity and at the same time stylish design attract attention. The Toyota automaker itself is considered almost the leading automobile giant world, but there are many discrepancies on the question of where Toyota Corolla is assembled.

And this is not surprising.

Russia Let's start with our country. Official representative The Toyota brand in the Russian Federation is the Toyota Motor RUS company. It is through it that cars become available to Russian buyer . First assembly line

In our country there is a plant in Shushary - Toyota has been assembled here since 2007. It is here that the car is assembled, painted, and body parts are welded, and in 2013 the plant produced more than 35,000 cars.

Japan Toyota Corolla is assembled at the Japanese plant Takaoka. This is the original company that has been producing Toyota since 1918, producing about 6 million models per year. Large assembly shop - Tsutsumi. Today, 10 models are produced in Takaoka, including the Toyota Corolla. The company has existed since 1918, and initially weaving machines were produced here. At that time the country had little demand on cars, so there was no talk about them mass production

. And the first four cars that were created here were trucks. The main development of the company occurred in the 50s, when automobile concerns began to open in other countries. It is noteworthy that not only cars are assembled at the Takaoka plant Japanese stamps

, compact and economical in terms of fuel consumption, but also “American” - powerful and voracious. Every month the company produces about 10,000 cars, and they also professionally manufacture trailers and semi-trailers. Initially, only Japanese-assembled cars were supplied to Russia.

Türkiye

It is from this country that Toyota Corolla is supplied to Russia. This facility has been significantly improved and modernized, and the assembly process itself has become better in terms of equipment. Cars of this model were produced here in Sakarya from 1994 to 2006. Novorossiysk became a transit point for Corolla deliveries to the Russian Federation. In 2014, the company reached new capacity, which will allow it to produce about 150,000 car models per year.

The Burnaston plant in England also assembles the Toyota Corolla. The history of this enterprise began in 1989, and the first Toyota rolled off the assembly line back in 1992. Today, the British concern stamps body elements from steel, performs welding and painting, and produces plastic elements in the form of bumpers and panels.

One of the most popular cars in comfort class - this is famous Toyota The Corolla, which has already experienced eleven incredible generational changes, a lot of restylings, engine changes, peripheral equipment and interior features. During its existence, the car has changed several body types, moving from the sports class to the popular segment. This is an incredible car that reflects an entire era of development Toyota Corporation. It’s quite difficult to say what exactly makes the car so popular today - it’s standard sedan C-Class with good looks and proven technology, but nothing grand in design or external characteristics There is no Corolla. However, the car gained popularity due to its universal fame and a significant number of fans who have been driving only this car for many years.

The assembly of the Toyota Corolla for the manufacturer has become the central issue of the update. It became unprofitable to continue assembling cars in Japan, in the city of Takaoka. More precisely, the company would have to greatly raise the price of cars in Russia. This would clearly have a negative impact on the popularity of the car and its sales potential. Therefore, the eleventh generation Corolla moved to another production facility of the Japanese corporation. But this is not the Russian plant in St. Petersburg, which today has also significantly increased the corporation’s assembly assets and maintains Toyota prices at domestic market Russia. So today we will look at the features of the Corolla assembly.

Where is the eleventh generation of Corolla assembled?

The question of where the car is assembled is always very important for car enthusiasts. It's not just a matter of pride in manufacturing in a thoughtful and quality factory, but also in confidence in the car. That is, by owning a car that was assembled by specialists from Takaoko, Corolla drivers were completely confident that the car would not let them down. Buyers already on the second day of operation left positive reviews. But today the car is assembled in Turkey, at the official assembly plant of the corporation. And reviews about new Corolla owners are in no hurry to voice it so early, assessing all the features of the car. Among the features of the Turkish assembly, it is worth mentioning the following features:

  • complete equipment upgrade assembly line For produced by Toyota Corolla;
  • global investment in the company to move the assembly of such an important model for the company;
  • Japanese management, all engineers making decisions came from Japan;
  • training of staff with mandatory internship at a Japanese plant, full specialization;
  • maximum compliance with assembly quality, mandatory certification of each stage of production;
  • testing cars to identify any manufacturing defects.

In Turkey, only large-scale assembly, welding and painting of the car is performed. They also perform anti-corrosion protection and other important processes extending the life of the car. The company's employees are trained personnel who know perfectly well how to behave in a given situation. It is for these reasons that the build quality has not suffered much in comparison with Takaoko. However, car buyers have become biased towards certain aspects of transport. We are talking not only about the build quality, but also about the reliability of the engine and peripheral parts. Here you cannot have any complaints about the Corolla, since the engine and all the equipment are supplied from Japan and are only assembled in Turkey.

Main features of the 11th generation Toyota Corolla

In 2013, the corporation launched production and introduced the first copies of the new generation Corolla to the market. The eleventh generation has become really interesting in appearance, significantly ahead of its predecessor. Reviews from fans of futuristic technology and compliments from experts immediately poured in. But the change in appearance caused some concern, because restyling completely removed the purpose of the tenth generation - family sedan. In this sense, the Corolla sold very well in Russia, but will there be a new sedan with an updated foppish style? appearance ensure the same sales. This question remains open today, because the popularity of the brand has changed a little. The main features of operating the 11th generation Corolla are as follows:

  • the car drives very confidently, no road obstacles are scary for it;
  • thoughtful design makes the car comfortable for Russia;
  • any temperature conditions Toyota can handle it on the street without any difficulties;
  • excellent implementation internal space provides high ergonomics to the driver;
  • very well-thought-out car controls convey driving pleasure;
  • the most different configurations will help you choose the optimal equipment for yourself;
  • the optimal technical base remains reliable, thoughtful and comfortable.

This car overcomes any competition both technically and functionally. Modern representatives of the C-Class from Toyota turned out to be quite attractive in all aspects. Worth a look for most successful cars segment to compare the Corolla with these cars and be pleasantly surprised. The machine is not only more productive, interesting in appearance and functional, but also costs significantly less. To date basic equipment Toyota Corolla will cost the buyer a rather modest amount - 759,000 rubles. With important additions for safety and comfort, a fairly good basic version will cost 800 thousand.

Technical characteristics of Toyota Corolla in 2015

In technical terms, Japanese cars are completely clear. Corolla offers quite a large amount in this regard technical kits. Base engine The car remains from the 10th generation City version. This is a 1.33-liter power unit, which without a turbine is capable of reaching 99 Horse power and quite a dynamic ride for the Corolla. But in some situations, particularly highway overtaking, this engine is a little weak. Therefore, many will prefer a 1.6-liter unit with 122 horses or a top-end 1.8 liter engine at 140 horsepower. In general, the situation with technology is as follows:

  • three power units from 99 to 140 horsepower - an excellent line-up for the Corolla;
  • the base engine is available only with a manual, the most powerful - only with an automatic;
  • for average power unit Both manual and automatic transmissions are available;
  • configurations greatly change the feeling of the trip and technical potential cars;
  • technological equipment has many comfortable and needed by the driver options;
  • Each car can be customized for yourself by equipping it with the necessary equipment;
  • Additional equipment items can be purchased for money; there were a lot of these items.

Today you can enjoy a wonderful ride in a truly Japanese car, albeit in Turkish assembly, without any worries about quality. The car will help you understand all the features of modern transport, show you new developments by Toyota and delight you with its futuristic appearance. The design of Corolla has remained relevant and unexpected for two years now. It must be admitted that Toyota is doing quite well in sales. The car is sold very actively in Russia, thanks to its history and quite interesting technical specifications. Also began to appear detailed reviews buyers about the car, which further motivates buyers to give their preference to the Corolla. Watch a fascinating Toyota test drive:

Let's sum it up

A high-quality Japanese car may well be one of the best choices for your purchase. Be sure to take advantage of the offers of the Japanese corporation and make this car incredibly comfortable, convenient and successful for yourself. To do this, use the possibilities of individual vehicle equipment additional options so as not to regret in the future that they did not install a not so expensive, but very the desired option into your transport package. There is no need to worry about the Turkish assembly; the car fully meets all quality requirements, its assembly reliability has remained virtually unchanged. If you find negative reviews about the quality of the layout and assembly, they are more based on the preconceived opinions of potential buyers.

If you ask the owner of an 11th generation Toyota Corolla, he will tell you only positive impressions of using the car. But if you just ask a person after a test drive about his impressions, the answers may be different. In the end, the test drive itself expensive Mercedes or Infiniti may not be liked by a person. This is an individual matter, so feel free to buy a Corolla if you have such a desire. Use your own criteria to obtain best transport from those available on the market. What do you think of the Toyota Corolla?

The opinion that foreign cars are created in other countries and delivered ready-made to Russia is very widespread. But for those who do not yet know where Toyota Camry is assembled, it will be interesting to know that the car’s assembly plant is located in the Russian Federation, since this can significantly reduce the cost of the car and transportation costs.

The plant where the Toyota Camry 2016 is assembled is currently located in Leningrad region, near the village of Shushary. The company operates in accordance with the relevant agreement on international cooperation Russian manufacturer With Japanese company Toyota Motor.

The construction of factory workshops began in 2005, and already in 2007 the first production line was launched. With the release of new models by the original company, similar drawings and supplies of materials are transferred to Russian representatives so that our market receives the same machines in a timely manner along with the whole world. Thus, the Toyota Camry plant in Russia, where Japanese cars are assembled, is now actively working in Shushary, and produces a wide line of models.

Initially, the production of 50 thousand cars was calculated, but the capacity was not used in full force. Today there are forecasts for expanding the plant’s production capacity to 300 thousand cars, but so far there is no urgent need for this.

What exactly do the specialists do at the Shushary plant? Designers in Japan are developing new models and features of cars, which is quite natural. When the plant is on Russian territory was opened, its tasks included only the assembly of cars from ready-made structures. Since 2012, the capabilities have expanded, and he is tasked with not only assembling, but also welding and painting machines. In addition, all mechanisms and vehicles undergo appropriate tests to verify reliability and safety.

Build quality in Russia

There is an opinion that Russian assembly more different low quality rather than assembly by foreign specialists. Indeed, Japanese classic sedans are significantly different from those that come off assembly lines in Shushary! The main differences that can be identified:

In the Leningrad region there are no factories where the Toyota Camry engine is assembled, as well as many parts and structural elements. Such equipment is supplied already assembled and prepared for use from foreign manufacturers.

Watch the video of how the Toyota Camry SXV10 was assembled to see how professionally and high-tech the production is. this process at a Russian plant. Mechanical engineering in Russia is actively developing, and every year the plant is increasingly increasing the production of Japanese-Russian cars!

During vehicle testing at production in Shushary, each car is checked quite thoroughly, and the manufacturer is ready to give official guarantees safety and strength of structures.

What is better - Japanese or Russian assembly?

When a plant appeared in Russia, the question arose of what was better to choose: Japanese or local assembly. There is a common belief that original assemblies are more reliable and of higher quality, but is this really so? This is how a Toyota Camry is assembled in Russia (video), and here you can make sure that technological progress in Russia does not stand still, and the assembly process is carried out with all the necessary precautions and in accordance with standards and international requirements.

User experience suggests that the car is no critically different from its Japanese twins. Of course, there are small details that differ from Japanese modifications, such as tires or glass, but domestic parts in this regard are just as high quality and reliable as those used in Japan. However, according to social surveys (http://info.drom.ru/surveys/10996/), more than 75% of car enthusiasts are not at all sure about this, and the rest for the most part believe that decent quality of Russian assembly is possible only with strict control behind this process.

Russian assembly is definitely cheaper, which is impossible not to appreciate. All tests show that the engine (which, remember, is assembled abroad) is capable of operating at the same level as in the Japanese versions, and this is one of the main indicators of technology of this level. Other mechanisms and control systems also do not fail during inspections and testing.

There is a humorous assumption that if representatives of the official Toyota company decide to play a prank on users and swap the Japanese and Russian modifications, then no one will notice the substitution, since there is practically no difference between the cars!

Some car owners note that Russian paintwork softer and easily damaged mechanically. At the same time, there are no complaints about tires and glass in reviews from users, so we can safely say that complaints about Russian plant in the Leningrad region are quite small and insignificant. This only confirms that the Russian assembly is no worse than the Japanese one, but at the same time much cheaper!

Purchase in different cities of Russia

Russian manufacturers, of course, have their own characteristics regarding quality control of work. However, at the Shushary plant, strict rules and principles of assembly and production processes were initially established, due to which the risk of defects and various failures is minimized.

The plant where Toyota Camry 2016 is assembled for Russia offers favorable prices on cars for residents across the country. But it should be noted that the price may vary depending on the region, and therefore across the country the cost varies from 700 thousand to 2 million rubles (depending on condition and configuration), and sometimes you need to pay for the delivery of the car to the desired city.

The beginning of the history of the Toyota company can be considered in 1933, when the Toyoda Automatic Loom Works company, which initially had nothing to do with cars and was involved in the textile industry, opened an automobile department. It was discovered by the eldest son of the company owner Sakichi Toyoda, Kiichiro Toyoda, who later brought car brand Toyota to world fame. The initial capital for the development of the first cars was money raised from the sale of patent rights to spinning machines. English company Platt Brothers.

In 1935, work was completed on the first passenger car, called Model A1 (later AA) and the first Model G1 truck, and in 1936 car Model AA went into production. At the same time, the first export delivery was made - four G1 trucks went to northern China. A year later, in 1937, the automobile department became separate company, who received Toyota name Motor Co., Ltd. This is the brief history of the pre-war development of the Toyota company.

After World War II, in 1947, production of another model began - Toyota Model SA, and in 1950, in conditions of a severe financial crisis, the company experienced the first and only strike of its workers. As a result, corporate policy was revised, and the sales department was separated into a separate company - Toyota Motor Sales Co., Ltd. However, for the post-war years, when Automotive industry Japan, along with other industries, did not experience the most better times, the company did not emerge from the crisis with the biggest losses.

In the early 50s, Taiichi Ohno was conceived unique system production management (“kamban”), which allows the elimination of all types of losses - materials, time, production capacity. In 1962, the system was implemented at the enterprises of the Toyota group and proved its effectiveness, contributing to the success of the company.

In 1952, the founder of the company, Kiichiro Toyoda, died. By this time, Toyota had entered its heyday. In the 50s, the development of our own designs was carried out, extensive research was carried out, and the the lineup- the Land Cruiser SUV appeared, such a now famous model as the Crown, and was founded in the USA Toyota company Motor Sales, U.S.A., whose task was to export Toyota vehicles to the American market. True, the first attempt to export Toyota cars to the American market ended in failure - but subsequently, having drawn conclusions and quickly coped with new tasks, Toyota corrected this.

In 1961, a model was released - a small, economical car that quickly became popular. In 1962, Toyota celebrated the production of the millionth car in its history. The sixties were a period of improving economic situation in Japan, and, as a result, rapid growth in car sales. The network of Toyota dealers abroad is actively developing - in South Africa, Europe and Asia. Toyota achieved success in the US market - the Corona model, which began to be exported there in 1965, quickly became widespread and became the most popular Japanese car on the foreign market. The following year, 1966, Toyota released its, perhaps, most mass car- Corolla, the production of which continues successfully to this day, and also enters into a business agreement with Hino, another Japanese automaker. Toyota entered into the same agreement with another company, Daihatsu, in 1967.

The 1970s were marked by the construction of new factories and constant technical improvements of units, as well as the “migration” of innovations from expensive models where they were originally installed to cheaper ones. Production of such models as Celica (1970), Sprinter, Carina, Tercel (1978), Mark II begins. Tercel was the first front-wheel drive Japanese car. In 1972, the 10 millionth Toyota car rolled off the assembly line. Having overcome the energy crisis and financial difficulties, introducing a regime of austerity in raw materials, developing, under the pressure of legislation relating to air pollution, an effective exhaust system By strengthening internal corporate policies, Toyota entered the next decade.

In the early 80s, or more precisely, in 1982, Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. and Toyota Motor Sales Co., Ltd. merge into Toyota Motor Corporation. At the same time the release begins Camry models. By this time, Toyota had finally established itself as the largest automobile manufacturer in Japan, ranking third in the world in terms of production volumes. In 1983, Toyota signed a multi-year agreement with General Motors, and the following year, car production began at their joint venture in the United States. At the same time, the first stage of construction of Toyota's own test site, Shibetsu, was completed, which was fully completed in 1988. In 1986, another milestone was crossed - the 50 millionth Toyota car was produced. New models are born - Corsa, Corolla II, 4Runner.

One of the main events of the 80s can be considered the emergence of such a brand as Lexus, a division of Toyota created to enter the car market. high class. Before this, Japan was associated with small, economical, inexpensive and democratic cars; with the advent of Lexus in the luxury sector expensive cars the situation has changed. A year after the founding of Lexus, in 1989, models such as and were introduced and went on sale.

The year 1990 was marked by the opening of its own design center - Tokyo Design Center. Interestingly, in October of the same year, the first authorized service station opened in the then Soviet Union. Toyota continues its global expansion - branches are opening in more and more countries around the world and developing those that have already been opened. In addition, scientific and technical research is very active; Companies such as Toyota System Research Inc. are opening. (together with Fujitsu Ltd., 1990), Toyota Soft Engineering Inc. (with Nihon Unisys, Ltd., 1991), Toyota System International Inc. (together with IBM Japan Ltd. and Toshiba Corp., 1991), etc. In 1992, Toyota Guiding Principles were published - the basic principles of the corporation, an expression of corporate philosophy. At the same time, The Earth Charter was published - as a reaction to increasing environmental trends in society. Ecology has had an impact Toyota development big influence; plans and programs were developed to protect environment, and in 1997 the Prius model was created, equipped with a hybrid engine ( Toyota Hybrid System). Besides the Prius, hybrid engines Coaster and RAV4 models were equipped.

In addition, in the 90s, Toyota managed to produce its 70 millionth car (1991), and its 90 millionth car (1996), open the Toyota Training Center in Vladivostok in 1992 and enter into dealer agreements with Audi and Volkswagen in 1995 sign a product sharing agreement with Hino and Daihatsu and, in the same year, announce the adoption of a new global business plan, as well as the launch of engines with variable valve timing (VVT-i). In 1996, the Toyota Training Center was opened in Moscow and the production of four-stroke gasoline engine With direct injection fuel (D-4). In 1997, in addition to the Prius, it was announced the launch of the Raum model, and in 1998 - the Avensis and a new generation of the iconic SUV Land Cruiser 100. At the same time, Toyota acquired a controlling stake in Daihatsu. The following year, 1999, the 100 millionth Toyota car was produced in Japan. In 2000, sales of the Prius model reached 50 thousand worldwide, a new generation of RAV4 was launched, and in 2001 the 5 millionth Camry was sold in the United States. In July last year, the Toyota Motor company was founded in Russia, and in December, Prius sales increased to 80 thousand.

Today, Toyota is one of the world's largest car manufacturers. By far, it is also Japan's largest automaker, producing more than 5.5 million cars a year, which equates to roughly one car every six seconds. The Toyota group includes many companies, both automotive and involved in many different areas. In 2002, Toyota entered a new field by entering Formula 1 auto racing.
