The initial Authentique package offers a basic 1.6-liter engine and the bare minimum of options: black mirrors (with manual adjustment) and door handles, light tinting windows, power steering, daytime running lights, shelf in the trunk. In this configuration, the rear seat backrest folds only entirely. In the Expression version, in which the car can be equipped with any of the power units, roof rails, front windows, heated and electric mirrors are already standard, central locking with remote control, CD-MP3/AUX/USB audio system with Bluetooth and steering column joystick, and the split rear seatbacks fold in a ratio of 1/3 to 2/3. The Privilege package includes mirrors and handles in body color, fog lights, chrome roof rails, chrome bumper protection, muffler tip, improved fabric upholstery, pockets in the backs of the front seats, cruise control, air conditioning, on-board computer. Equipment Luxe Privilege will offer chrome mirrors, strong tinting, leather upholstery, rear power windows.

Updated Renault Duster offers three engine options. The new 1.5 dCi turbodiesel produces maximum power 109 hp (at 4000 rpm) and due to the high torque of 240 Nm (available from 1750 rpm) it has excellent traction and can boast a record low consumption fuel - only 5.0 l/100 km. Acceleration time 0-100 km/h - 12.5 seconds. Initial power gasoline engine is now 114 hp. There were no changes in the design of the chassis. The main thing is that Duster still has a very energy-intensive suspension and has retained all its off-road qualities: approach angle - 30°, departure angle - 36°, obstacle overcoming - 23°, ground clearance- 210 mm. All the advantages of the Russian adaptation remain in the advantages of the car: high-capacity battery, generator increased power, heated seats and mirrors, mudguards, metal protection engine compartment and plastic protection of the fuel line, anti-gravel coating of the bottom. In all-wheel drive versions, the torque is rear axle transmitted by an electromagnetic coupling, providing high cross-country ability in complex road conditions. During the 2015 Renault Duster restyling process, the main changes affected body parts, interior design and engine power. In the cabin, the shape of the seats has changed, it has become more comfortable, but the upholstery remains fabric, except for the optional trim. If you have children traveling with you, it is better to purchase covers. Textiles are difficult to wash. The interior is decorated with not very rich hard plastic, which can squeak in some places. The differences are noticeable: Duster becomes similar to Logan.

Finally, conservative fans of Renault cars have seen changes in the location of the power window buttons in the new crossover. They were moved from the center console to the doors, and the signal button for the left steering column switch was moved to the center of the steering wheel.

The basic package of the updated 2015 crossover does not include a media player that can play radio or music from a flash drive.   • 2.0 liters, 145 l. s., with a 4x4 transmission, reaches a maximum speed of 172 km/h, accelerates to 100 km/h with a manual transmission in 10.4 seconds, mixed gasoline consumption - 7.8 liters per 100 km;
  • 2.0 liters, 145 l. s., with a 4x4 transmission, reaches a maximum speed of 168 km/h, accelerates to 100 km/h with automatic transmission in 10.4 seconds, mixed gasoline consumption - 8.3 liters per 100 km;
  • diesel 1.5 liter, 109 l. s., with a 4x4 transmission, reaches a maximum speed of 156 km/h, accelerates to 100 km/h with a manual transmission in 15.5 seconds, mixed gasoline consumption - 5.3 liters per 100 km;

Previous engines had powers: 1.6 - 102 hp. With; 2.0 – 138 l. With; DCI 1.5 – 90 l. With.

Test Drive

I turn the key (in my hands is not a “top-end” car with automatic start, but an intermediate luxury version of Privelege on a “handle” with all-wheel drive) and under the hood a diesel engine comes to life, whose rattling in the cabin you can hardly hear. Hurray, the French have worked on noise insulation, equipping the car additional package soundproofing materials, including double door and windshield seals. However, the acoustic comfort is disturbed by the air conditioner, which makes an unpleasant clicking sound from all the air ducts at the same time. Thank you - there is a good audio system (in basic version you can’t count on it), drowning out this irritable clicking.

Meanwhile, the diesel engine, without parting with the volume of 1.5 liters, received an additional charge of vivacity. Now the engine develops not 90 hp, but as many as 19 “horses” more, thanks to an upgraded turbine that allows the engine to produce 240 Nm of torque. Starting straight from the second one, you understand that the improvements to the unit have benefited. You can no longer call the Duster phlegmatic.


FRENCH CHARM FOR RUSSIAN ROADS

For petrol versions now available automatic start engine that operates at a distance of up to 200 meters. A heated windshield also appeared. Agree, not bad for this class.

Changes have occurred. Firstly, the previous 1.6-liter engine has been replaced with a new one power unit. It is also 1.6-liter, but now produces 114 hp. The power of the other two engines has also increased: the diesel engine has gained a lot of power and now produces 109 hp, and the 2-liter unit at the top of the range began to produce 143 hp. instead of the previous 135. The gearbox and transmission remained untouched.

But the most interesting thing is that after restyling the price tag did not increase - Duster still costs from ! Agree, quite good for updated crossover. But we will know how the update will affect sales by the end of this year. Meanwhile, the new product went on sale.

For now, it was decided to leave prices at the same level - from 584,000 rubles. This means that for the same amount Renault offers updated appearance and a number of additional “chips”. Tempting! Unless, of course, you remember how much you could buy a Duster for before the ruble fell into the abyss...

Prospects: So far, nothing threatens the confident leadership of Renault Duster. Prices kept at the same level will certainly spur demand. However, the model has competitors. These are the Ford EcoSport and the Hyundai ix25, which should go on sale in six months. True, in terms of off-road capabilities they are far from the Duster.

Grade: Russians will certainly like the innovations. For some, they will be an additional advantage in favor of the Duster, and for others they will encourage them to exchange their pre-reform car for a fresh one.
