As soon as production starts, IzhAvto will be able to produce 1600-1700 cross-country Vestas per month. But in general, the starting point should be considered not the release date of the Lada Vesta Cross, but the capacity of the conveyor:

The Izhevsk line can produce 6,800 passenger cars per month;
As for sedans, VAZ announced the figure “5,000 cars per month.”

If the demand for sedans decreases, the number of crossovers produced may increase. Most likely, this is exactly how it will turn out.

No other models, except crossovers and sedans, will appear on IzhAvto production lines in 2016. All production capacity– at the service of car owners!

Body geometry

Ground clearance of the conceptVestaCross is 190 mm. The sedan was characterized by a value of 178 mm. Some sources call the number “200” - it is typical for serial crossovers. Don't believe it! When the Lada Vesta Cross goes on sale, it will become clear that “200” is a fake.

The station wagon body does not differ from sedans in almost all respects: length, width and height remain the same (4450/1764/1553 mm). Wheelbase also unchanged (2635 mm).

Vesta Cross will go on sale in November-December 2016. By that time, they will begin to install under the hood of sedans new engine– namely, VAZ-21179. Its volume is 1.8 liters. But there are also rumors about trim levels!

The rear and front suspension of the Lada Vesta is very long-travel. The following figures apply to sedans with a “city” body position:

Front strut travel – 82/88 mm (compression and rebound);

Move rear suspension– 100/100 mm.

When the Lada Vesta Cross goes on sale, the reader will immediately be convinced that the compression stroke has been increased, and the rebound stroke, on the contrary, has decreased by 12 mm.

But the fact is that AVTOVAZ has developments in equipping Cross versions all-wheel drive, no longer guesses: Sarzhin actually confirmed that such a possibility exists, saying that the solution will be very expensive and the plant will first monitor the reaction to the output Lada models Vesta SW Cross.
