After removing the mechanism, remove the lock washer and pin (stopper) (see photo). When knocking out the pin, the mechanism must be positioned as in the photo below, otherwise the pin will not come out. It will fall into inaccessible cavities, which will greatly puzzle you, because it will then be impossible to get close to it.


Then we pull out the gear selection shaft and press out the old oil seal.


We purchase an oil seal, preferably an original one, you can choose the size and Russian production. But it is not recommended to do this, because the original oil seal, in addition to the working sealing edge, also has a dirt boot (see photo below).


We press the new oil seal into the selector housing.
