With the “mechanics”, the acceleration time from 0 to 100 km / h is 10.4 seconds, the “maximum speed” is 190 km / h, and the average consumption in the combined cycle does not exceed 6.2 liters. With the "robot" Mercedes-Benz B-class B 180 gains the first 100 km / h in 10.2 seconds, accelerates to the same 190 km / h, but at the same time consumes only 5.9 liters of gasoline per 100 km.
- The role of the flagship of the motor line in Russia is played by a more uprated version of the 1.6-liter gasoline engine. In this case (modification B 200) its power is increased to 156 hp available at 5300 rpm, and the torque is raised to 250 Nm at 1250 - 4000 rpm. The maximum speed of a car with such an engine exceeds 200 km / h, but despite such excellent dynamic properties, fuel consumption is only 5.6 liters per 100 km. The second 1.8-liter turbodiesel has a capacity of 109 hp. and consumes only 6.2 liters of fuel per 100 km when driving in city traffic jams.
Diesel B-class models meet the EU-4 limit values even without a particulate filter. As an option, Mercedes-Benz offers a maintenance-free filter system that further reduces the emission of soot particles.

On the B 180 modification, the new engine will develop 122 horsepower, and on the B 200 - 156 horsepower. The maximum torque of these engines is 200 and 250 Nm respectively, which is available from 1250 rpm. Diesel engines are represented by two 1.8-liter "fours". On the diesel Mercedes B 180 CDI, the unit develops 109 hp. and a peak torque of 250 Nm, and the more powerful B 200 CDI has 136 "horses" and 300 Nm of torque at its disposal.
