Why they decided to install a 4-spoke steering wheel here is unclear, most often there are three-spoke cars on such cars. Behind the wheel there will be a dashboard, which has four rather large analog gauges, each of which is placed in its own separate deep well. This is my third car, and the third "Mark". The first was the "Mark" in the 100 2.5 grande body. Perhaps he predetermined my next car choices. I fell in love with this car, not yet owning it. After the purchase, I thought that this was the best of the "Marks" that the Japanese produced, because I did not like the 90 and 110 bodies at all, I had no idea about the existence of Xs, and I was not lucky enough to ride on the previous bodies. Overtaking Toyota Mark X after buying home, I felt all its charms (in comparison with 100 and 110 "Marks") of a relatively stiff suspension in combination with 18 castings, and low-profile tires. The car reacted to the slightest steering movements accurately and sharply. A 6-speed automatic, tuned for an aggressive driving style, with a little more pressure on the pedal, immediately rushed to slow down and the car took off. Even at a speed of 170, when the pedal was pressed to the floor, a sharp acceleration was felt, the arrow was already lying, and he continued to pick up speed, and without waiting for the engine to turn off, he released the gas pedal. The speeds on the move with a quiet ride are not noticeable at all, you can only see from the tachometer arrow how the speeds are switched. There is also a manual switch, but I have not used it yet, just look at it. But with the soundproofing of the arches and bottom, the Japanese miscalculated, everything that flies off the wheels and hits the bottom of the Toyota Mark X is very well heard, and the noise of the wheels is well audible.

There is, of course, a double impression about the Toyota Mark X interior. On the one hand, these are seats with good lateral support, moderately stiff, with a lot of settings for the driver, plenty of legroom, reclining and folding rear seats, heater outputs for rear passengers, a glasses compartment in the ceiling, a large armrest glove compartment. On the other hand, the on-board computer is not very well located, which shows the overboard tamper, instantaneous and average consumption, since it is located at the top between the speedometer and the tachometer and is not visible from behind the steering wheel, and you have to look in. An inconveniently located steering wheel adjustment lever, for me it was more convenient from the side as on 110, the interior trim in the photo looked richer than it actually turned out to be, there is too much plastic on the doors, again, cheap forged wood, the rag of which sheathed the doors looks very cheap and fast gets dirty. Among the innovations, this is a place for jars or 0.5 bottles in all doors. All in all, Toyota continues to skimp on trim quality.

Prior to Toyota Mark X, he owned a 2004 Honda Legend. I got "Mark" second-hand from Japan. Since the odometer is less than 50 thousand km and the car was driving on perfectly flat roads, we can assume that the car is almost new. I want to note right away that the Toyota Mark X is softer than the Legend, about the interior I can immediately say that it is without frills, there is everything you need, but no more, for normal use and the user will go. The executive class does not pull, no matter how much they pull. In the cabin I can put "3+" no more, regardless of the configuration. For the "Mark" in the S configuration they ask for a million, I think this is an overkill, all the "twists" are not worth 300 thousand rubles, about the same difference between the usual configuration and the more "fat" one. This comparison is a car with 2.5 engines. I would like to note that the Toyota Mark X is rear-wheel drive, it was a little scary when buying, but as they say, if you liked something, it is difficult to convince yourself. The consumption for this car is optimal, 12 liters in the city with maximum traffic jams, with air conditioning 13, at the moment it shows 7.3 km / l, it's not difficult to calculate. 1000 rubles is enough for a week or 250 km. Legend asked 2000 thousand per week. Outside the city, the minimum consumption that I recorded was in the region of 6.8 per 100 km, these indicators were checked using a computer and the old-fashioned way. The data is given with 95th gasoline, the other is not pouring. I did not go in winter, I can not say anything about the consumption.

Let's move on to dynamic indicators: 203 "horses", V6, Toyota Mark X is enough, rear-wheel drive. The sensations, of course, are completely different compared to 4vd or front-wheel drive, and I just want to drive sideways into a turn. Rumor has it that when the sport mode is turned on, 12 more "horses" appear in the car from somewhere and in a total of 215, as a person with higher education, I think that this statement is complete nonsense, if 203 "horses" are declared from the factory, then they and there is, but 215 is out of the question. The suspension of the Toyota Mark X is multi-link, I did not climb everything new, everything is dry and clean, there is nothing special to say about repair and cost, but I think there will be no special difficulties. The chassis is identical to the "Crown". The passage of irregularities and small pits on a solid "4+" wheels are native to 16, if you put it on 18 - it will be tougher, but at the same time beauty requires sacrifice. Noise isolation for "4-", not a representative class, of course, requires improvement.
