So, I bought it from a test drive, with a mileage of almost 7500 and a discount of 300,000, in a very decent complete set. In the first year of operation, I finished building the house, carrying a bunch of little things on the Tuareg, whoever built it will understand what I mean, then it was unloaded first by the UAZ, then by Elka. In the first year I went on a winter hunt, of course, to the hunting place, but then it got to the UAZ and Elke. I went to the city and the intercity. I went in the winter at -36, well, in the summer, I went to the snow and ice. Served only at OD , somewhere after 8-9t.km, deliberately did it more often, because diesel fuel in our country is not very ... I refueled mainly at LUKoil, in winter I refilled antigel. The car did not fail in three years, never. controllability of the car, well, and probably luck, for three years the car has never even scratched.

By the way, the same problem is typical for the 3.6-liter gasoline engine. But if you buy a Touareg, it is best with this engine. Although, in any case, one should not refuse to diagnose the car, even if the car is selected by professionals.

There are also complaints about the automatic transmission. Some owners noted that she begins to change gears with noticeable jerks after 20 thousand kilometers. In the worst case, everything will end with the purchase and installation of a new valve body. It is possible that over time it will also be necessary to change the propeller shaft.

Suspension on a German car can be of two types - conventional spring and pneumatic. In the first, the front and rear struts are the weak point. They do not differ in a large resource and most often they start knocking quite quickly. There are also problems with the air suspension. Due to leaks in the system, the car is often not in a strictly horizontal position, but tilted to one side. The pneumatic elements themselves can also be lowered, although on later versions of the car this unit was modified. Although the problem did not disappear completely, it began to arise much less frequently. But instead of pneumatic elements, some owners had to change the compressor. And there are enough problems with the electrician in charge of the suspension.

The braking system is generally more reliable than other components. But no one will give you a guarantee that one fine moment the electronic handbrake will not start to "glitch". Such cases, albeit very rare, did take place.

There is something to take hold of your head. Most of the components fitted to the Touareg are very complex in design. And this leads to the fact that they break with an enviable regularity. Many owners, even those who are well off, cannot stand this. So the car appears on the market. Although it is not worth scolding the "people's" car.
