What is the engine power of the Mitsubishi L200? What is the engine power of the Mitsubishi L200? Diesel engine 200 hp

Frame SUV Toyota Land Cruiser 200 is sold at Russian market with two powertrain options: 4.6-liter gasoline V8 with 309 hp. (439 Nm) and a 4.5-liter V8 turbodiesel with output of 249 hp. (650 Nm). During the 2015 restyling, both engines were brought into compliance with the requirements of the Euro-5 standard. Diesel engine traditionally has a wide “shelf” of peak torque, developed in the range of 1600-2600 rpm. Both powerplants are mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission transmission

The car's all-wheel drive is a full-time Full-Time with an asymmetrical center differential (with a forced locking function) and a reduction gear. The suspension consists of a double-wishbone front structure and a solid rear axle. To reduce body sway, a KDSS roll suppression system with hydraulically controlled stabilizers is provided.

The naturally aspirated petrol “eight” installed under the hood of an SUV is famous for its remarkable “appetite”, consuming on average about 13.9 liters of fuel per 100 km of travel. The fuel consumption of the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 with a diesel engine is significantly less - 10.2 liters when driving in mixed cycle. Installing a 45-liter tank in addition to the basic 93-liter tank allows you to increase the vehicle's range to an impressive 1,200 km.

The front axle is rotated using chain transmission. By default, torque is distributed between the axles in a ratio of 40:60, but this proportion can change depending on road conditions.

The selection of the all-wheel drive operating mode of the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 is carried out using the selector on the inter-passenger tunnel. Position “H4” corresponds to the standard operating mode, “L4” – downshift (ratio 2.618). Lock center differential is done using a separate button, and the vehicle speed should not exceed 100 km/h.

Have Japanese manufacturers reliable diesel engines. And what is the most reliable diesel engine of all the reliable ones in Japan?

Let's look at the most common modern diesel engines in the Japanese automobile industry.

What are these diesel engines, how weak and strengths Japanese diesels. They now dominate mainly in Europe, but they have begun to appear quite often in Russia.

But, unfortunately, they also have problems when their mileage exceeds one hundred thousand kilometers, and even for some up to one hundred thousand.

The caution in the supply of diesel engines from Japan is due to their capricious attitude towards fuel. Their fuel system quite weak to the use of our diesel fuel.

Another problem is the availability of spare parts. There are practically no non-original spare parts from reliable manufacturers. Chinese ones appear, but their quality leaves much to be desired and does not at all correspond to Japanese quality.

Hence their very high price, much higher than for German spare parts. There are many factories in Europe that produce spare parts decent quality and at prices significantly lower than the original ones.

The most reliable diesel engine from Japan

So what is the most reliable diesel engine from Japan? Let's rank the TOP 5 best diesel engines.

5th place

In fifth place you can safely put the 2.0 liter Subaru engine. Four-cylinder, turbocharged, opposed, 16-valve. Common Rail intake system.

It must be said that this is the only boxer diesel engine in the world.

A boxer engine is when mutual pairs of pistons operate in a horizontal plane. This arrangement does not require careful balancing of the crankshafts.

The weaknesses of this engine are its dual-mass flywheel; it failed even before five thousand kilometers. Cracking crankshaft, were destroyed until 2009 crankshafts and shaft supports.

This engine is very interesting in its design, with good characteristics, but the lack of spare parts for such engines negates its advantages. Therefore, we give it the fifth place of honor in the Japanese range of diesel engines.

4th place

We'll put you in fourth place Mazda engine 2.0 MZR-CD. This diesel engine began to be produced in 2002 and installed on Mazda car 6, Mazda 6, MPV. This was the first Mazda engine with Common system Rail.

Four cylinders, 16 valves. Two versions - 121 hp. and 136 hp, both developing a torque of 310 Nm at 2000 rpm.

In 2005, it underwent modernization, with an improved injection system and a new injection pump. The compression ratio and adaptation of the engine with a catalyst for the emission of harmful gases have been reduced. Power became 143 hp.

Two years later, a version with a 140 hp engine was released; in 2011, this engine disappeared from the line of installed engines for unknown reasons.

This engine calmly nursed 200,000 kilometers, after which it was necessary to change the turbine and dual-mass flywheel.

When purchasing, you should carefully study its history, or better yet, remove the pan and look at the oil sump.

3rd place

Also a Mazda engine, Mazda 2.2 MZF-CD. The same engine, but with a larger volume. The engineers tried to eliminate all the shortcomings of the old two-liter engine.

In addition to the increased volume, the injection system was modernized and a different turbine was installed. They installed piezo injectors on this engine, changed the compression ratio and radically changed particulate filter which caused all the problems previous model two-liter engine.

But the global struggle for the environment, both in Europe and in Japan, adds trouble to all engines, and this is where a system is installed, with the addition of urea to the diesel fuel mixture.

This all reduces emissions to Euro5, but as always, in Russia this adds problems to all modern diesel engines without exception. This is simply solved here: the particulate filter is thrown out and the valve for afterburning the unburnt exhaust is turned off.

Otherwise the engine is reliable and unpretentious

2nd place

Engine Toyota 2.0/2.2 D-4D.

The first two-liter Toyota 2.0 D-4D CD appeared in 2006. Four-cylinder, eight-valve, cast-iron block, timing belt drive, 116 hp. The engines came with the index “CD”.

Complaints about this engine were very rare, they all boiled down only to the injectors and the recirculation system exhaust gases. In 2008, it was discontinued and replaced by a new one with a volume of 2.2 liters.

Toyota 2.0/2.2 D-4D AD

They have already begun to make it a chain one, there are already 16 valves for four cylinders. The block began to be made of aluminum with cast iron sleeves. The index of this engine became "AD".

The engines are available in both 2.0 liters and 2.2.

The most good feedback about such an engine, and good return, and low fuel consumption. But there were also complaints, the main one being the oxidation of the aluminum head at the point of contact with cylinder head gasket, approximately in the period of 150-200 thousand km. mileage

Replacing the head gasket does not help, only cylinder head grinding and the block, and this procedure is only possible with the removal of the engine. And such a repair is only possible once; the engine will not withstand the second grinding of the head and block, the depth will be critical with the possibility of the valves meeting the head. Therefore, if the engine has traveled 300-400 thousand kilometers, with one grinding, it should only be replaced. Although this is a very decent resource.

Toyota solved this problem in 2009; with such malfunctions, they even replaced the engines with new ones under warranty at their own expense. But the problem, very rarely, does occur. Mainly for those who are not weak in igniting the most powerful version of this 2.2-liter engine model.

Such engines are still produced and installed on various models cars: Raf4, Avensis, Corolla, Lexus IS and others.

1 place

Diesel Honda motor 2.2CDTi. The most reliable small-displacement diesel engine. Very productive and very economical diesel engine.

Four-cylinder, 16-valve, variable-displacement turbocharged, common rail injection system, liner aluminum block.

The injectors are used by Bosch, and not the capricious and expensive Japanese Denso ones.

The predecessor to this engine was built back in 2003, badged 2.2 i-CTDi. It turned out to be very successful. Hassle-free, dynamic and economical in fuel consumption.

Modern under consideration Honda engine The 2.2 CDTi appeared in 2008.

Of course, there were no typical malfunctions, but they were all extremely rare. Cracks exhaust manifold, but they appeared in the first issues, the Japanese reacted and this did not happen in subsequent issues.

Sometimes there were malfunctions of the timing chain tensioner. Also, sometimes the turbine shaft play appeared prematurely.

All these malfunctions arose from excessive constant loads and poor maintenance.

Honda installed this engine on models Honda Civic, Accord, CR-V and others.

Of course, this engine has the lowest number of failures and breakdowns compared to all other engines from Japanese automakers.

We give it five points out of five, assign it the first place of honor and wish you to have a similar one in your car.

Elka is a massive car. To set it in motion, a motor with sufficient power is required. For this reason, the Mitsubishi L200 engine power is excellent. Depending on the pickup version, power units develop from 128 to 181 hp.

Gasoline unit Elki has been around for decades. It has been constantly updated and the latest version is used on . This is a reinforced 2.5-liter engine, which is also installed on the Pajero SUV.

The latest version of the unit is capable of developing 178 hp, which is quite enough to compete with analogues in the class. Along with transmission Super Select , the Elka motor shows excellent results on any.

road surface As for its predecessor, it developed only 136 hp. The motor was used on the 4th generation L200. With such a low-power internal combustion engine, the old Elka could stand out from the Hilux and Amarok only by its relatively low cost, because opponents had 156-horsepower units under the hood. However, a more humane price tag did not help; demand for Elka began to rapidly fall, and the company’s management had to solve a difficult problem. The situation has improved by strengthening gasoline engine - this is exactly what was missing Japanese pickup truck

to fight competitors.

Diesel engine 4-cylinder diesel unit 4N15 is installed on the fifth generation Elku. It is an upgraded version of the 4D56 engine, is much quieter than its predecessor and has good CO2 emissions.NewengineL

Engine 4D56 D-DI 2.5 l

The 2.5 liter diesel engine or 4D56 D-DI is a modernized version of the old 4D56 and 4D56T, used on the Pajero, L-300 Delica and L-200 Strada. The modified power plant has different technical characteristics, But main feature- this is the absence of liners in the cylinder block, two camshafts and a Common Rail fuel system.

The DOHC powerplant has overhead camshafts. This is an inline four, with a cylinder head cast from aluminum. The block itself is cast iron. The crankshaft is steel, 5-bearing.

Distinctive features modernized version, This:

  • absence of sleeves, which made it possible to reduce the number of elements inside the block;
  • more efficient cooling by increasing the diameters of the channels and using a different water jacket with a corrugated surface;
  • the use of modified pistons and increased pin diameters;
  • protection against strong detonation due to displacement of the pin axis;
  • ensuring better swirl of air flow in the cylinder head;
  • use of fireproof steel valves.

Regarding systems working with the engine.

  1. The engine power supply system is injection - Common Rail. It involves direct fuel injection, the presence of a synchronized fuel injection pump and a fuel manifold that can withstand very high pressure.
  2. As for the lubrication system, it is equipped with a water-oil heat exchanger. And to cool the pistons, special oil nozzles are used, which find a place in the cylinder head.
  3. The powerful diesel 4D56 D-DI would not do without a closed cooling system, with forced circulation refrigerant.
  4. Air system has a turbocharger and intercooler.
  5. The timing system is driven by a belt gear transmission from the crankshaft pulley.

The 4D56 D-DI engine is capable of developing up to 178 hp. However, the possibilities power plant They don’t stop there. Carrying out chip tuning will allow you to further strengthen the engine.

Purchase history

Good day, readers. After 2.5 years of operation, emotions from ownership Jeep Cherokee have settled down, but I can still remember something, so I haven’t forgotten all the nuances yet, I decided to write a review about a car that is quite rare in our area, and to be precise, the only one in our city. Hello to my colleague from Berdsk, who owns similar to cars, but it's still a different city.

Before him he owned (Russian and soviet cars I'll skip it) Honda HR-V 1999, Volvo XC90 2007, Nissan Murano 2004. The last one was on front wheel drive and right-hand drive, good comfortable, almost problem-free, if not for the constant struggle with driving in the snow in winter and traveling along the intercity highway, I would have driven it.

I accidentally noticed the option I was looking for in Nizhny Novgorod at the Lexus trade-in, agreed on discounts and off we went. The car had one owner before me, it was in use for 2.5 years, the same as I have now, and during this time it covered 22,000 km, the condition is close to new.

The road back, 3,015 km according to the odometer, passed without incident. The manager who carried out the transaction called a couple of times and asked if everything was fine with the car, which is a plus, but the fact that he actually sold it with a guarantee, saying that the car was still under warranty, was a minus. It turns out that Chrysler only gives a two-year warranty on its cars.

Impression

Compared to the previous generation. I ended up with a 2011 restyle, they added a little hp. the diesel engine, now there are 200 of them (there were 177), received multimedia with HDD and a fuel system from its older brother Grand Cherokee. The interior has been slightly updated better side. The body remained without a single change, except that the wheels began to be installed differently, which can sometimes be distinguished by them.

About the engine. My Jeep Cherokee has an Italian VM Motori 2.8 liter 200 hp. This company produces fairly high-quality and reliable diesel engines; in any case, I didn’t find any horror stories about them on the specialized forum.

The oil I use is 0w-40 PetroCanada. In general, the list of suitable oils for of this motor(according to characteristics) not great at all, for example, neither a mobile nor a Motul suitable oil not in the lines.

The downside is that the injectors are very expensive, so refill diesel fuel with high content sulfur can be extremely dangerous for the budget. And perhaps not the most low consumption fuel among classmates, although with petrol version it doesn't even come close to comparison.

My minimum on the highway at 80-90 km/h is 9.2 liters per hundred, at 120-130 km/h somewhere around 11. In winter in the city with slight warm-ups it can be 16 liters. In 61,000 km I had only 1 malfunction with the engine - the “Dzhekichan” got out while on vacation in the Crimea, it turned out that the contact of one of the sensors had oxidized. Cleaned it, washed it, put it back in - still 0 problems.

About the box. It's worth Merc's NAG-1 - it's a 5-mortar. Reliable unit, if you drive carefully and don’t catch the bottom and change the fluid. According to the MOPAR classification (Chrysler original consumables), you need to pour ATF-4, but Mercedes thinks differently about its gearbox and recommends oil with MB 236.14 approvals (this is not ATF-4, but ATF 134). I decided to trust the classification from Mercedes.

The gearbox is not the fastest, it gradually absorbs the torque from the engine. In frost below 25 degrees it turns into some emergency mode, you need to let it warm up for about five minutes in such cold weather, there are no errors, the car just drives 1-2 km per hour until the oil in the torque converter disperses, I think so.

About the walk. This example is equipped with an advanced MP3022 Select Trac II transfer case. There are 3 modes, 2-VD is only the leading rear, Auto - four-wheel drive with on-demand torque distribution and 4WD-Low - in this mode, this tank can be planted only if it sits on its belly, although in fact all 4 wheels are rowing, but there is no inter-wheel locking, this is apparently done by electronics and brake pads. In fact, in summer I use 2WD mode, in winter 4WD-Auto.

The chassis is quite durable, after 40,000 km I still don’t need anything replaced, and the car is already more than 5 years old, it’s somehow strange, but nevertheless a fact.

About the body. With dimensions approximately the X-Trail, the weight is 2,140 kg, the X-Trail is approximately 700 kg less. The safety margin is impressive; lifting the hood with one hand is not so easy.

In order not to be unfounded, I conducted 2 crash tests (not on purpose, of course) both in the front and in the rear. I drove into a Nissan Teana in front, the result for Teana was disastrous, rear end It was seriously dented, I had to pull it out with a cable in order to somehow close the trunk, but my front license plate was damaged and the gap in attaching the bumper to the body increased slightly.

The second crash test took into account rear bumper, bailiffs hurrying somewhere to the Mazda Tribute. The result is a broken piece of paintwork 2 by 2 cm for me and a dented bumper of 3-4 cm with collateral damage for my opponent.

The interior of the Jeep Cherokee folds down into a flat floor. But with a height of 183 cm, I feel comfortable sleeping only diagonally in one. Still, the total length of the car is not enough (exactly 4.5 meters). People up to 160-165 cm, I think, can sleep as usual.

About the salon. Many people don’t like the interior trim of this car, and you can understand them - the plastic is very hard, oak, and scratches easily. There are some ergonomic miscalculations of American design thought.

In one of the reviews I read about the crappy leather on the seats, but perhaps there are others in the Restyle. Personally, I’m fine with this, the profile of the seats allows me to drive all day without putting stress on my back, the seats themselves are made of leather excellent quality, in any case, better than what I had on the XC90, but this is still an indicator.

About spare parts. As you already understand, I didn’t take the most common car in the city, and perhaps in the country too. Therefore, with the availability of spare parts on the markets, as you might guess, a complete paragraph. No, well, for example, light bulbs, filters, if you look for them, you can find them.

But I couldn’t find the same battery - I waited for them to deliver it (not the most common size + only bottom mount + reverse polarity). Although the tire size is almost mainstream 235/65/17, it is quite difficult to select wheels, and almost impossible according to the original parameters. That's why I don't have a second set of disks yet.

Other spare parts can only be ordered from online stores; fortunately, as it turned out, this car a lot of takes. The prices for the original are high, but I can’t say that they are much higher than the original for Honda now.

Often, original electrical materials can be purchased on Ali Express. For example, my parking sensor (parking sensors) died here - the officials charged 11,000 rubles. for 1 piece, it was not listed in online catalogs at all (there were no delivery options), I ordered a set of 4 original sensors from Ali, for 4,000 rubles. Saving 7,000 rubles + 3 sensors still lying around just in case.

About exploitation. Most of my friends, having learned that I had a diesel car, sympathized with the fact that I wouldn’t have to drive it in winter, that we didn’t have proper diesel fuel, etc. But it turned out that the only thing to be wary of was the autumn off-season and gas stations in the Altai Mountains in winter.

The car did not start on its own 3 times, I warmed up the diesel engine twice, and the third time the battery simply ran out. It is worth noting that it is almost impossible to freeze when the engine is running, since warm return flow is drained into the tank.

After these incidents I made conclusions and there have been no such problems lately. Somewhere I fill in anti-gel, somewhere I study receipt documents and certificates for diesel fuel, in trusted places I just check once again about the current diesel fuel.

In general, the Jeep Cherokee is my first car, which at -35 degrees starts without problems from the remote control after a frosty night (there is only one condition - the right diesel fuel). For this reason I did not install Webasta.

There is a mode for warming up engine speeds and heating elements in the heater, so the car is not an ice coffin on wheels, but it still loses to gasoline cars in this regard. In cold weather of 30 degrees the engine never starts operating temperature, somewhere around 75-80 and that’s it.

On idle speed It also hardly warms up, so I start it within a minute in the summer, and after 5-7 minutes in the winter I’m already leaving. This model also has a serious design flaw - the lack of holes in the panel for airflow windshield on the sides, so when there is high humidity or frost, there are icy stripes on the sides, ranging in size from 10 to 30 cm. It also blows badly in the legs.

The dynamics according to the passport are 9.9 seconds to one hundred kilometers (like the Volvo XC90 2.5T), I think that’s true. From 0 to 70 the acceleration is sluggish, I think the reason is in the gearbox, but from 70 to XXX it is quite peppy, there are no problems overtaking someone on the highway, since there is no gear change.

On the highway, the Jeep Cherokee goes worse than the XC90, which is not surprising, but there is no particular discomfort, but it moves amazingly on dirt roads, and only on smooth ones strewn with stones; on large potholes, the suspension is still quite soft.

About breakdowns.

1. At 30 thousand, I changed the copper seal ring to the turbine (oil was leaking through it), at the dealer, about 500 rubles.

2. At 35 thousand, the trunk door lock broke (the door opening sensor broke off), they turned off the sensor at the dealer, did not change the lock, it works as usual, only there is no indication on the panel that the back door is open and the light does not turn on when opening.

3. At about 40 thousand, the parking sensor died.

4. For 55 thousand, the original battery was installed, purchased for 10 thousand rubles.

5. At 60 thousand, the intercooler pipes are leaky (this is their signature problem), they are replaced with a resonator, the price is 26 thousand rubles. I found 1 pipe in St. Petersburg, the second one was just wrapped with special electrical tape, the price is 11,500 for everything.

6. The stove motor began to trill, but is still working.

7. Gas supports are tired back door, not yet critical.

8. The belt is defective attachments. The belt was purchased for 1200 rubles. (duplicate of Gates), but not yet delivered.

9. Brake pads I've only changed the rear ones for now. Duplicate TRW 5100 rub.

10. The light bulbs are quite durable, I changed the headlights once and the dimensions once, I changed the stops a couple of times and the license plate lights twice. By the way, any American standard stops and turn signals with a plastic base will not fit, you only need these.

Bottom line

In general, people who are not spoiled by comfort, but who want it, will find this car interesting. To myself, I call it the American UAZ. I believe that this is a kind of compromise between the UAZ and the Mercedes Gelenvagen. It differs from UAZ more powerful engine, reliability and automatic transmission, and from Gelika interior decoration, the absence of inter-wheel locking, Gelik has a wide range of engines from 156 hp. and, of course, the cosmic price for the same year.
