What will happen in 2019: expensive cars and disputes with the government

Due to the increase in VAT and the unclear future of state support programs for the car market, new cars will continue to rise in price in 2019. We found out how car companies will negotiate with the government and what new products they will bring.

However, this state of affairs only stimulated buyers to make decisions more quickly, and an additional argument was the planned increase in VAT from 18 to 20% in 2019. Leading auto companies told Autonews.ru what challenges the industry faces in 2019.

Figures: sales have been growing for 19 months in a row

Based on the results of sales of new cars in November 2018, the Russian car market showed an increase of 10% - thus, the market has continued to grow for 19 months in a row. According to the Association of European Businesses (AEB), 167,494 new cars were sold in Russia in November, and in total from January to November, automakers sold 1,625,351 cars - 13.7% more than last year.

According to AEB, December sales results should be comparable to November. And at the end of the whole year, it is expected that the market will reach the figure of 1.8 million cars and light vehicles sold commercial vehicles, which would mean a 13 percent plus.

Most noticeably in 2018, according to data from January to November, they grew Lada sales(324,797 units, +16%), Kia (209,503, +24%), Hyundai (163,194, +14%), VW (94,877, +20%), Toyota (96,226, +15%), Skoda (73,275, +30%). Began to reach lost positions in Russia Mitsubishi(39,859 units, +93%). Despite the growth, Subaru (7026 units, +33%) and Suzuki (5303, +26%) noticeably lagged behind the brand.

Sales increased at BMW (32,512 units, +19%), Mazda (28,043, +23%), Volvo (6,854, + 16%). Hyundai's premium sub-brand, Genesis, took off (1,626 units, 76%). Stable performance in Renault (128,965, +6%), Nissan (67,501, +8%), Ford (47,488, +6%), Mercedes-Benz (34,426, +2%), Lexus (21,831, +4%) and Land Rover (8 801, +9%).

Despite the positive figures, the overall volumes of the Russian market remain low. According to the Autostat agency, historically maximum value the market showed in 2012 - then 2.8 million cars were sold, in 2013 sales decreased to 2.6 million. In 2014, the crisis came only end of the year, so there was no dramatic drop in the market - Russians managed to buy 2.3 million cars at the “old” prices. But in 2015, sales collapsed to 1.5 million units. Negative dynamics continued in 2016, when sales dropped to a record low of 1.3 million vehicles. A revival in demand occurred only in 2017, when Russians bought 1.51 million new cars. Thus, up to the original figures of the Russian automotive industry It is still a long way off, just like the status of the first market in Europe in terms of sales, which was predicted for Russia in the pre-crisis years.

Representatives of auto companies surveyed by Autonews.ru believe that sales volumes in 2019 will be comparable to the results of 2018: according to their estimates, Russians will buy the same number of cars or a little less. Most expect a bad January and February, after which sales will pick up again. However, auto brands refuse to make official forecasts until the beginning of the new year.

“In 2019, the cars purchased in the pre-crisis year of 2014 will already be five years old - for Russians this is a kind of psychological mark at which they are ready to think about replacing the car,” Kia Marketing Director Valery Tarakanov noted in an interview with Autonews.ru.

Prices: cars have been rising in price all year

New cars in Russia after the 2014 crisis increased in price by an average of 66% by November 2018, according to Autostat. Over the 11 months of 2018, cars became more expensive on average by 12%. The agency's experts came to the conclusion that auto companies have now practically won back the fall of the ruble against world currencies. But they stipulate that this does not mean a price freeze.

Further increases in car prices will be driven by inflation and an increase in the VAT rate from the beginning of 2019 - from 18% to 20%. Representatives of auto companies, in conversations with an Autonews.ru correspondent, also do not hide that the increase in VAT will directly affect the cost of cars, and from the very beginning of 2019 - this, for example, was confirmed by Renault, AvtoVAZ and Kia.

Discounts, bonuses and new prices: when is the best time to buy a car?

“On the threshold of the last quarter of the year, the Russian automobile market continued to demonstrate strong growth. However, this welcome development comes as no surprise given the tailwind in the sails of the entire retail sector as it counts down to the VAT change. There has been growing concern among market participants regarding the sustainability of retail demand since January 2019,” explained Jörg Schreiber, Chairman of the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee.

At the same time, automakers hope that the ruble exchange rate will not change much against foreign currencies, which will avoid price surges.

State support programs: they gave half as much

In 2018, half as much money was allocated for state support programs for the car market, popular among Russians, compared to 2017 - 34.4 billion rubles. instead of the previous 62.3 billion rubles. At the same time, only 7.5 billion rubles were spent on targeted programs aimed specifically at motorists. We are talking about such programs as “First Car” and “ Family car”, which apply to cars worth up to 1.5 million rubles.

The rest of the money went to more specific programs like “Own Business” and “ Russian tractor" 1.295 billion was spent on measures to develop and produce vehicles with remote and autonomous control, 1.5 billion was spent on stimulating the acquisition of ground electric transport, and on measures to stimulate production in the Far East ( we're talking about on compensation of transportation costs to auto companies) - 0.5 billion rubles, for the purchase of gas engine equipment - 2.5 billion rubles.

Thus, the government, as promised, continues to systematically reduce the volume of state support for the industry. For comparison: in 2014, only 10 billion rubles. went to recycling and trade-in programs.

In 2015, 43 billion rubles were allocated to support the automotive industry, of which 30% was also spent on recycling and trade-in. In 2016, spending on state support for the automotive industry reached 50 billion rubles, half of which was also spent on similar targeted programs.

Meanwhile, at a recent meeting with automakers, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak said that the volume of state support for the domestic automotive industry is five times higher than the budget revenues from this industry.

“Now this amounts to 9 rubles per 1 ruble of income to the budget system from the automobile industry. This is with recycling fee, but without recycling fee“5 rubles of state support,” he said.

Kozak explained that these figures should make one think about the conditions under which state support measures should be provided to the auto industry, adding that the vast majority of business sectors do not receive any support from the state at all.

Disputes with the government: car companies are unhappy

In 2018, disputes between auto companies and the government over the terms of further work in the market intensified. The reason was the expiring terms of the agreement on industrial assembly, which gave auto companies that invested in the localization of production a tangible set of benefits, including tax ones. This situation primarily means that manufacturers, in conditions of uncertainty, can postpone the launch of new models, which, by the way, was threatened by Renault. In addition, it is more difficult for companies to predict their pricing policy

. At the moment, the government, represented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Energy, has still not been able to develop a unified strategy.

Until recently, departments offered different tools to replace the expiring decree on industrial assembly No. 166. Thus, the Ministry of Industry and Trade actively lobbied for the signing of individual special investment contracts (SPICs) between the government and auto companies. The document provides for a certain set of benefits, which is determined separately with each signatory depending on the size of investments, including in R&D and export development. This tool has been repeatedly criticized by auto company executives for its lack of transparency and too stringent requirements for further investment.

The Ministry of Energy, in turn, opposed it for a long time and insisted that only those who produce high-tech products, which do not include cars, will be able to work under SPICs. The FAS also joined the negotiations with the position that companies should not form alliances and consortia, that is, they should not unite to sign SPICs. At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade began to promote precisely this idea of combining brands to obtain a synergistic effect many years ago. IN Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak had to intervene, who created a special working group, invited representatives of all auto companies to it and also expressed a number of his own ideas. But this did not calm the situation - auto brands complained about newcomers, including Chinese companies

who, from scratch, could count on government support and a reluctance to invest too much in R&D and export organization.

Currently, according to Autonews.ru sources taking part in the negotiations, the advantage is on the side of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and a number of auto companies are already preparing to sign SPICs in the new year. And this means new investments, projects and models, the emergence of which can revive the Russian car market.

New models: there will be many premieres in 2019 Despite the careful forecasts from automakers, most of them are preparing many new products for Russia. For example, Volvo Autonews.ru told that they will bring new Volvo S60 and Volvo V60 Cross Country . Suzuki will launch updated SUV Vitara and new compact SUV

Jimny. Skoda in next year

will bring the updated Superb and the Karoq crossover to Russia; in 2019, Volkswagen will begin Russian sales of the Arteon liftback, as well as new modifications of the Polo and Tiguan. AvtoVAZ will roll out Lada Vesta Sport, Granta Cross and promises several more new products.

Lancer Ralliart

Budget fans will find plenty to enjoy in the 2010 Ralliart. Using a transmission with double clutch Evolution and all-wheel drive system, the Ralliart serves up decent performance for thousands less.

What's new in 2010

For 2010, the versatile five-door Sportback joins the Ralliart family.

Driving and impressions

As a supposed compromise between the base Lancer and the Evolution, the Ralliart can be considered a success. There is the usual battle with turbocharging, but once that threshold has been crossed (around 3000 rpm), the engine willingly unloads all its available power, approaching its 6500 rpm.

Compounding the turbo problem is the new TC-SST gearbox. Like many automatic manual transmissions, the TC-SST cannot respond immediately when the driver first presses the gas pedal, which can cause aggravation in a crowded stop.

On the plus side, quick gear changes can be done manually. Drivers are most likely to use this feature during spirited drives, when the car's handling capabilities shine. Like the Evolution, the Ralliart rewards its owner with responsive steering, excellent brakes and little body roll.

Featured Features

For Ralliart buyers who plan to spend time on the track or enjoy twisting the twisties back roads, TC-SST offers a mode Super Sport, which allows for quick changes using magnesium paddles or a central switch.

Ralliart's Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) system, derived from Lancer Evolution, provides excellent handling when the driver wants to explore the vehicle's limits. S-AWC includes three modes designed to adapt to different road conditions: Tarmac, Gravel and Snow.

In 2013, a new type of car was released - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution

The icon itself legendary Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is a high-performance variant of the Mitsubishi Lancer Sedan. Weighs less than 3,600 lbs. standard format The Lancer Evolution features a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, all-wheel drive and a long list of engineering upgrades. Here are five more facts about the 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.

  • Visually, the Lancer Evolution is distinguished from other Lancer models by its redesigned front end with larger air intakes, air intakes and vents, front wing fans, front and hind wings, a rear diffuser panel through which the dual exhaust outlets pass, and a rear spoiler designed to generate additional downforce at higher driving speeds. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard on Lancer models Evolution GSR. Lancer Evolution MR models get a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission (TC-SST) with paddle shifters and driver-selectable Normal, Sport and S-Sport modes. According to Mitsubishi, the TC-SST automatic manual transmission shifts faster than a conventional manual or automatic transmission transmission
  • Each Lancer Evolution system is equipped with an all-wheel drive system Mitsubishi control All-Wheel Control (S-AWC), which includes active center differential, active brake control, rear differential and a helical limited-slip differential, the S-AWC system provides driver-selectable Tarmac, Gravel and Snow modes.
  • IN 2013 year Mitsubishi The Lancer Evolution features aluminum hood, fenders, roofs and bumpers, and for better weight distribution, the automaker locates the battery and washer reservoir in the trunk of the car, which is one of the reasons why it is only 6.9 cu. by volume. Mitsubishi Lancer 10 is a new generation car that is assembled in Japan. It is quite reliable vehicle, the price of which is reasonable, but at the same time – meets the quality. This model has all the bugs fixed. previous generations Mitsubishi. Since the Mitsubishi Lancer 10 is already a little outdated, the article presents the “new products” of this car brand.

The silhouette of the Mitsubishi Lancer 10 with its center of gravity shifted downward, sharply outlined rear, high tornado line, swept profile, graphically clear contours of the wings and smooth outlines of the struts really resembles a military fighter. Fans of sports cars will certainly prefer to buy this model. The developers managed to very successfully focus attention on its dynamic character with the help of a monolithic frontal area reminiscent of a slightly open snake's mouth, slanted headlights, a spectacular rear wing and a circular plastic body kit.

Practical and comfortable interior

Sales of these cars are very active. Market research in a city like Moscow only confirms this argument. The growth of the model’s popularity is largely due to the new stylish interior salon The developers offered users an ergonomically organized space that allows them to sit comfortably during long trips.

All configurations of the Mitsubishi Lancer X are equipped with a highly informative dashboard, an impressive center console with carbon fiber cladding, anatomical seats with improved relief, lateral support and high rise. The leather-wrapped steering wheel has a comfortable grip and features shift paddles and audio control buttons. Thanks to the multifunctional LCD display, occupants receive an expanded range of communication capabilities.

Mitsubishi Lancer X engines: efficient and economical

Magnificent specifications, demonstrated by the power units of the Mitsubishi Lancer 10, are due to the carefully designed timing design and the presence electronic controller, which ensures the synchronous operation of the valves.

Unique MIVEC technology

A serious competitive advantage of these motors is the use of MIVEC technology. In this case, due to design features camshaft ensures differentiated operation of distributed injection ECI-Multi. Injection operates in two modes. One of them corresponds to movement on high speed, the second - movement at low levels. Modes change automatically.

Motor equipped MIVEC technology, is capable of providing a sharp start and comfortable driving without transitions to low gears. Due to automated valve timing switching, qualities such as “power” and “ fuel efficiency» no longer contradict each other.

Innovation for Security

In order to protect consumers from road risks, the manufacturer has equipped cars of this model with a set of modern safety elements. Strengthening the body structure according to standards car brand Mitsubishi is carried out in accordance with technological principles RISE. This makes it possible to increase the rigidity of the machine frame by 52% compared to competitors.

Among the highly effective solutions for protecting people, 7 airbags are offered, anti-lock braking system, brake force distribution function. These innovations became the key to true triumph Mitsubishi cars Lancer X, the price of which is quite affordable, when performing crash tests by the Euro NCAP committee. These cars are for the first time in history car brand received the highest rating of 5 stars on the European safety scale.

Official premiere Mitsubishi sedan The “C-segment” represented by the tenth generation Lancer model took place in January 2007 at the international motor show in Detroit. But the history of the model began a little earlier - in 2005, when the Concept-X and Concept-Sportback concept cars debuted at the Tokyo and Frankfurt motor shows (based on them, the car “in the tenth body” was created).

In 2011, Lancer 10 experienced small update, as a result of which he received targeted changes in the exterior and interior, as well as improved sound insulation.

Mitsubishi Lancer 10 is endowed with a fit and very good appearance no matter what angle you look at it from. Even at a considerable age, it looks decent and relevant against the background of newer cars.

The front part of the sedan is made in the corporate style of the Mitsubishi brand called “Jet Fighter” (in the style of fighter jets), and the aggression is added to it by the gaping mouth of the radiator grille with chrome edging and predatory squinted optics (it’s a pity that its filling is completely halogen) .

The dynamic “combat” profile of the Japanese three-box is emphasized by a long hood, a strongly sloping front roof pillar and 16-inch “rollers” with 10 spokes (for an additional fee – 17-inch ones).

The rear of the Mitsubishi Lancer 10 contains lights made in the same style as the headlights and giving it aggression, a somewhat heavy trunk and an expressive bumper.

An additional touch of sportiness can be added to the car's appearance through aerodynamic door sills and a striking rear spoiler, which are available in an extended configuration.

The overall dimensions of the Mitsubishi Lancer 10 sedan body fit into the concept of the C-class: 4570 mm in length, 1505 mm in height, 1760 mm in width. Wheelbase The car's height is 2635 mm, and its ground clearance is 165 mm. Depending on the modification, the sedan's curb weight varies from 1265 to 1330 kg.

The interior of the “tenth Lancer” looks modern, but nothing special catches the eye. The three-spoke steering wheel is unified with other models of the brand; there is only room for the required minimum of keys. The most stylish looking dashboard is made in the form of two deep “wells” with a 3.5-inch diagonal color display between them, covered with a wave-shaped visor on top.

The center console is made in a classic style; in terms of design, there are no questions about it. A simple radio is integrated into the panel, so it can only be replaced with an original multimedia system. Just below there is an emergency warning button, and even lower there are three rotating handles and three control buttons air conditioning system. Everything is simple and well thought out; you literally can’t find fault with the ergonomics.

The interior of the Lancer 10 sedan is not distinguished by a high level of performance. Firstly, hard and not very pleasant plastic is used entirely, and even in top options leather trim is not available, and secondly, everything is not assembled in the best possible way(you can see the gaps between the parts).

The front seats have good profile, although they would clearly benefit from more reliable support on the sides. The adjustment ranges are sufficient, but nothing more, with plenty of room in all directions. The rear sofa is comfortable for three; passengers will not feel any discomfort in their legs or width, but the low ceiling will put pressure on the heads of tall people.

The trunk of the Japanese sedan is small by the standards of the “golf” class - only 315 liters of usable volume. Its shape is not the best, the opening is narrow, the height is small - in general, large objects will not fit in there. Back rear seat folds flush with the floor, providing opportunities for transporting long items. Under the “plywood” floor there was a place for a full-size spare wheel on a stamped disk.

Specifications. For Mitsubishi Lancer 10, in 2015, two petrol engines are available four-cylinder engines DOHC, each of which is equipped with MIVEC electronic valve timing control technology and distributed injection ECI-Multi.

  • The first is a 1.6-liter unit that produces 117 Horse power power and 154 Nm of maximum torque (at 4000 rpm). It is offered in tandem with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission, and all traction is directed to the front wheels. With such a “heart” under the hood, the sedan accelerates to the first hundred in 10.8-14.1 seconds, reaching a maximum of 180-190 km/h ( best performance in both cases for the version with manual transmission). Fuel consumption in combined mode varies from 6.1 to 7.1 liters.
  • More powerful motor volume of 1.8 liters generates 140 “horses” and 177 Nm of peak thrust (at 4250 rpm). Is it combined either with the same manual transmission, or with a continuously variable CVT (front-wheel drive only). With manual transmission, the 140-horsepower Lancer reaches 100 km/h in 10 seconds and a top speed of 202 km/h, while consuming 7.5 liters of gasoline per 100 km in mixed mode. In the case of a CVT, acceleration to the first hundred takes 1.4 seconds longer, and maximum possibilities lower by 11 km/h (fuel consumption is only 0.3 liters higher).

Previously, the following were also available: a “sluggish” 1.5-liter 109-horsepower (with a “mechanics” it was “nothing”, and with an “automatic” it was simply “nothing” in terms of dynamics); 2.0 liter 150 hp power unit and a “hurricane” 2.0-liter turbocharged 241-horsepower engine.

The “tenth” Mitsubishi Lancer is based on the “global” Project Global platform, which was created jointly by engineers from Mitsubishi and Daimler-Chrysler during the period of their cooperation. The Japanese sedan's arsenal includes a standard set modern car: front McPherson with stabilizers lateral stability, behind - independent suspension with a multi-link circuit.
The Lancer has disc brakes on all wheels, and the front ones are also ventilated (the front ones have a diameter of 15 inches, the rear ones – 14 inches). The rack and pinion steering mechanism is complemented by a hydraulic booster.

Options and prices. On Russian market in 2015, the Mitsubishi Lancer 10 is offered in four trim levels:

  • The basic level of equipment called Inform is offered at a price of 719,000 rubles, and the list of its equipment includes two front airbags, ABS, on-board computer, power steering, four electric windows, a standard audio system with an AUX connector, and steel wheel rims.
  • The Invite version is available only with a 117-horsepower engine at a price of 809,990 rubles for a car with a manual transmission or 849,990 rubles with an automatic transmission. This car is equipped with air conditioning, electric drive and heated exterior mirrors, heated front seats and an armrest between the front seats.
  • For the Lancer 10 in the Invite + version, they offer the entire range of engines and gearboxes, and they ask for it from 849,990 to 939,990 rubles. The prerogative of this configuration is fog lights, light alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped multi-steering wheel and gearshift lever.
  • The top-end Intense solution will cost from 919,990 to 969,990 rubles (depending on the installed engine-transmission combination). In addition to all of the above, this sedan sports aerodynamic door sills, a trunk spoiler, side airbags and a driver's knee airbag.

By the way, 2015 was the last year for the tenth generation Lancer on the Russian market, and in December 2017 its production was discontinued in Japan.
