Restyled polo. Updated Volkswagen Polo sedan. Differences from the pre-restyling version. Differences between restyling and pre-restyling Volkswagen Polo

Greetings to everyone after a long silence. I often go to the site to read, but there was nothing to write about the car.

I decided to sum it up for a reason possible sale cars – the option comes up to buy a larger car with all-wheel drive from a friend at a reasonable price.

So, the mileage has approached 35 thousand km, that is, I still only cover 10 thousand km. in a year. There were no breakdowns during this period; in the fall of 2013, a creaking sound appeared in the front right suspension when driving over speed bumps. I stopped by a friend's at the service station. The verdict is this: there is no problem, squeaking is not a reason to change parts if they are in excellent condition(this was said about the entire suspension). We sprayed the rubber bands with silicone, and on the way back there was no more squeaking. I looked on the VAGovodov forums - golf owners have a similar problem, and dealers say that this is a feature. Although, no matter how you look at it, the problem is that nothing breaks. Now, when replacing the wheels with summer ones, I sprayed all the rubber bands with silicone as a precaution, just in case.

Strengths:

  • Quality small car

Weak sides:

  • Dogs don't like it

Relatives got a Polo sedan. At the auto market I wrote that I own it, but otherwise it would not allow me to publish a review. Of course, the model has long been known and widespread, almost everyone said. Well, I’ll also describe my impressions, in case someone finds it useful.

Let's start with the purchase. Initially, we needed the most budget-friendly normal car with clearance. In fact, the choice was between Solaris and Polo. In general, the cars are very comparable in price, characteristics, and size. The choice in favor of the polo was made based on the advantages of the laconic design of the polo over the rattle spaceship of Solaris, as well as after reading horror stories on the Internet about the quality of production of Solaris. It should be noted that the purely external quality of the cars is absolutely comparable. Everything is very neat.

When we bought it, we really wanted to order the option with a heated windshield, but we would have to wait 3-4 months, and the dealer had a ready-made basic package with air conditioning and a standard radio. As a result, they sacrificed their wishes in favor of speed.

Strengths:

  • Design
  • Engine
  • thoughtfulness
  • Price-quality ratio

Weak sides:

  • Budgeting
  • not a hatchback
  • Still a little noisy in the cabin.

Review of Volkswagen Polo 1.4 (Volkswagen Polo) 2011 Part 4

Some facts and figures.

So, the VW Polo 1.4 manual transmission5 Comfortline was sold after 2.75 years of operation with a mileage of 45 thousand km.

The average consumption for the entire run was exactly 8.5 liters. The highway/city ratio is also exactly 50/50. Consumption on the highway (at normal speeds) is 6-7l, in the city 9.5-10.5l/100km.

Strengths:

  • A very pleasant car in all respects

Weak sides:

  • Consumption in the city is a little high (this is a feature of the car in general or specifically my copy, I still don’t understand)
  • The climate control adjustment scale is slightly raised
  • Sometimes design outweighs practicality (in particular, a front bumper like the Cross Polo would not significantly worsen the aerodynamics, but geometric cross-country ability improved)

Review of Volkswagen Polo Sedan 1.6 (Volkswagen Polo) 2013

Good day to all.

I will write a review about quite not bad car Volkswagen polo Sochi edition 2013(sedan).

I will not pretend to have an impeccable review, the truth in the first instance, criticism is appropriate, I will answer questions.

Strengths:

  • Comfortable
  • Leaves a pleasant impression after the trip

Weak sides:

  • I think there is only one obvious drawback. It takes a very long time to warm up. Now we warm it up for an hour before leaving.

Review of Volkswagen Polo Sedan 1.6 (Volkswagen Polo) 2011 Part 2

Re-reading my previous review, I understand that it was somewhat emotional; in some places there is some enthusiasm for the new car and, quite possibly, an insufficiently balanced assessment of it. Now the attitude towards the car has become more dispassionate, very specific requirements have taken shape, I don’t want to praise or scold any aspects of this specimen undeservedly.

I’ll say right away that the car never failed, it started and drove properly under any external conditions, and they remained approximately the same, i.e. 15-20% city, the rest - highway and more or less destroyed regional, district, rural roads, with an average or slightly higher vehicle load, in all seasons of the year.

Strengths:

  • Controllability
  • Capacity
  • No breakdowns
  • Economical

Weak sides:

  • Noisiness
  • Uncertainty about car reliability

Part 2

Strengths:

  • Reliable. It starts up properly, we have never smoked with it in winter.
  • Confidently holds the road. It’s stable in turns, it doesn’t take it anywhere like my previous one))
  • Consumption on the highway at a speed of 100-110 is 5-6 liters of gasoline in the summer of ninety-five.
  • Consumption in the city is 8-9.
  • The high beam is wonderful.
  • It's warm in the cabin.
  • Cute.
  • The clearance is not bad, it does not shuffle the police. The suspension is a bit harsh. This is a plus if you are not pregnant.
  • Adjusting the driver's seat (seat, steering wheel, headrest) - after the previous car I just relax)
  • Sitting high, from Nexia or Spectra, if you are pot-bellied, it is very uncomfortable to climb out, from polo - quite the opposite.
  • The handbrake is reliable, I have never driven it. It happened on my previous car, I confess.

Weak sides:

  • The smell of strange synthetics in the cabin dissipated only in the second year of marriage.
  • Noisy, sound insulation is poor.
  • Rubber bands and other small parts are glued on with the crooked, slanting hands of Kaluga assemblers.
  • The low beam is very weak. I’m driving and I’m always afraid of hitting some migrant worker (I don’t know why exactly him)
  • There is no washer indicator, you have to carry a bottle with you. If the washer is smelly, the stench in the cabin is terrible. Although this is more of a review about the washer))
  • It's warm in the cabin. But mainly to the driver and front passenger.

Review of Volkswagen Polo Sedan 1.6 (Volkswagen Polo) 2012

After a short journey to public transport(The Lacetti's financial condition was greatly shaken) at the beginning of 2013 the question arose about buying a car. The amount on hand was 550,000. At that time, you could get new ones for this money: Hyundai Solaris (average equipment), Kia Rio (also middle), Volkswagen Polo Sedan, Kia Ceed (minimum), Citroen C4 Sedan (minimum), Citroen C-Elysee (mid-range).

I looked through everything and tested it. Ceed and C4 are of course higher class than the others, and therefore more comfortable. But in terms of equipment for the stated amount, everything is approximately on the same level. Apart from both Citroens, the rest had to wait from 1 to 3 months. Of course, I wanted Koreans, but I also have my wife’s word, she drives most of the time. And then I was carried into Tradenovsky Volkswagen salon(both are nearby). And there are two Volkswagen Polo Sedan, both in maximum speed with Premium packages, only one manual transmission, and the second automatic transmission and the difference is 50,000 rubles. Both with 4500 mileage were used for a test drive at a car dealership. Of course, I wanted it with an automatic transmission, but the toad is scary. And now I am the owner of DAS AUTO.

First impressions are the most positive. The car is almost new, I have never had such a configuration before. ESP, climate, heated windshield - just a fairy tale. Over time, this euphoria passed, and as a result, nit-picking began: there is no sound insulation - just terrible, the plastic in the cabin is oak, the low beam illuminates everything except the road, put 2 times more powerful results almost imperceptibly, the paintwork is weak, after several months the hood is from black stones points. The car is light - the wind blows away. In terms of gaining speed and stability, everything is very good. ESP works unnoticed. And the most offensive thing is warming up in winter, in 40 minutes at -20 the interior does not warm up, only if you drive for 10-20 minutes in the cabin it is warm and comfortable. At the same temperature, the interior cools down in literally 30 minutes.

Strengths:

  • Heating windshield
  • Controllability
  • Regular parking sensors
  • Dynamics

Weak sides:

  • Engine problems.
  • Warming up doesn't do any good.
  • Noise insulation.
  • Plastic in the cabin
  • Fuel consumption
  • Low beam
  • Standard tires

Review of Volkswagen Polo 1.6 TDI (Volkswagen Polo) 2009

1.6 TDI 77 kw (105 hp) I understand that this is the most powerful diesel engine that was installed there. I bought it for my sister, but I left for half a year and she spent the same amount of time.

The Polo hatch model is from late 2009 and seems to still be in production. Wonderful exterior. Beautiful head and even rear optics. This generation of Polo, compared to previous models, can be called successful and even beautiful. I think that he has overcome the stereotype of a woman's car and has the right to become a favorite of young people or a budget car family car. I think that in size it is close to the legendary first golf course.

I would like to point out that he is not Russian assembly, so I can't compare the build quality. But the adjustment of materials and body elements no complaints. The interior is pleasant, the fabric layout is quite good, the front seats can even be called comfortable, the passengers in the back will not be so comfortable, the bend of the back of the sofa due to limited space is of course not 90 degrees, but when you sit, it seems that it is striving for this indicator. The plastic of the dashboard is soft, expensive-looking and pleasant to the touch, but at the same time the level of the glove compartment and the plastic of the doors, elements on which have been saved, is clear by looking at it, and when you touch it, you are convinced of it. Well, okay, but it doesn’t rattle. By the way, maybe it’s for the better, I looked at a couple of Passats of 2007+ and noticed that the drivers apparently liked to keep their left elbow on the door, as evidenced by dents on the soft plastic; another example, on the contrary, had a bump. The buttons are not rubberized, not I’m sure what kind of coating this is, which can be found, for example, in Audi or BMW, but it causes a pleasant tactile sensation and tends to wear off))). An excellent ergonomic three-spoke steering wheel with an aluminum insert.

Strengths:

  • Successful exterior
  • Nice interior
  • Suspension, handling
  • Low consumption
  • Build quality

Weak sides:

  • Not enough trunk space
  • The backrests of the rear sofa are not comfortable
  • Not sure if the problem with winter starting has been overcome
  • Intermittent airbag sensor glitches
  • Cheap plastic on the doors

Review of Volkswagen Polo Sedan 1.6 (Volkswagen Polo) 2013

However, I’m not very good at writing. With literacy it is even more or less difficult, with style it is more difficult. Anyway.

We decided to buy a second inexpensive one for the family. new car. Criteria: class B+ or C, gasoline, manual transmission, decent trunk, transformation, not low, Conder, heated. The budget is around 600. The choice was entrusted to the son (he is 22), because... more punishment for him. The results of his casting were strange. Focus and Semi-sedan reached the finals. In terms of price, clearance, options, and dynamics, the Polo was in the lead; in terms of class, interior, exterior, and image, the Focus was in the lead. Let's go have a look in person. At the salon where I picked up the Tiga, I expected to get good discount. They gave me 10tr. Offended, we went to another one. There it was available in the Sochi Edition configuration: Conder, music (FM, CD, USB, SD), heated windshield, rear, front seats, mirrors, washer nozzles, 2 front airbags, casting 15, electric mirrors, all electric windows, leather .steering wheel and handbrake, all sorts of crap, such as door sills, Sochi Edition nameplate. Maybe I forgot something. The price list was 562tr, sold for 530. We added mudguards and engine protection for 10tr.

Review of Volkswagen Polo Sedan 1.6 (Volkswagen Polo) 2013

Good day to all owners Vehicle, as well as car enthusiasts and site visitors. I had a desire and found an opportunity to talk about the new car I purchased, since certain impressions had already appeared during the period of ownership and operation. So let's get started.

First impressions. The first foreign car. The Volkswagen Polo Sedan was purchased on April 20, 2013 at a dealership official dealer in St. Petersburg with the premium package. There were no queues for several months - and I wouldn’t stand in line - this reminds me of the shortage in the Soviet Union, which, judging by the stories from history textbooks from school curriculum, there was a special offer for 3 cars in 2013 in the “highline” configuration with the “premium” package. Two are silver, one is white. I wasn’t particularly tormented by the agony of choice, I considered the only alternative…. Skoda Fabia Station Wagon. A friend of mine has a hatchback and I’m happy with it, but having figured out that station wagons are not particularly liked in our country, and the market is already saturated in principle, then thinking about secondary sales, I chose the Kaluga Polo as an alternative. Since I read a lot of positive reviews about it about its handling and peppy engine. And I also like the Volkswagen brand, as well as the car itself. The price at the time of purchase was 632 thousand rubles - a lot for a budget foreign car, but these are the current realities of car prices. I took it for a test drive and liked the torque of the engine and the freedom in engine compartment. The Highline package is the maximum and includes the following options:

  • 15-inch alloy wheels, 195/55 tires
  • Front fog lights
  • Radio/CD/MP3
  • Front center armrest
  • Electrically heated windshield
  • Anti-theft alarm with interior monitoring and autonomous siren

The interior was additionally tinted rear windows, rear and front mudguards, crankcase protection, mats are installed.

The Premium package includes:

Strengths:

  • Design
  • Controllability
  • Exterior
  • Space under the hood, good maintainability and accessibility of components

Weak sides:

  • Stiff suspension but everything is relative
  • Low profile tires, in winter I will put 175/70/14
  • dipped headlights
  • Parking sensor work

Review of Volkswagen Polo 1.2 (Volkswagen Polo) 2010

Good evening, dear forum users!

At first I chose Kia Rio II, but after getting to know the car in person, this option was dropped due to the boring and modest interior. Before that I drove a Kia Rio I - so it feels like you are getting into the same car. Then I looked at the Hyundai i20 1.2 (I almost bought it for 350 thousand, by the way, the first time I saw this - the owner first set his price, I was ready to take it without bargaining, but he last moment I changed my mind and set the price tag to 30 thousand rubles. higher), Kia Ceed 1.4 and Hyundai i30 1.4 (they fell out either depending on the year or mileage - I never found the right option up to 400t.). I didn’t pay attention to the Polo at first - the low-power engine confused me, but in the end it turned up interesting option and I decided to take a chance (I can immediately say that the engine exceeded expectations).

Strengths:

  • Reliability
  • Economical
  • Interior ergonomics
  • Ride quality
  • Appearance
  • Liquidity
  • Clearance

Weak sides:

  • Interior dimensions
  • Cost of a new car

Review of Volkswagen Polo Sedan 1.6 (Volkswagen Polo) 2012

To be honest, I didn’t expect the doormat to be so reliable and unpretentious! When I switched to it from Getz, I was of course disappointed at first, because... the price of the Polo is 515 TR, and the Getz cost 340 TR. and I didn’t really understand why so much money was paid!, the interior for passengers is a little larger than in the Getz (the trunk doesn’t count, it’s really huge compared to the Getz), the dynamics of the 1.6 liter Polo engine versus the 1.4 Getz are almost the same, but the appetite the Polo was at first decently higher, about 11 liters in the city and 6.5 on the highway (the Getz has 20 percent less), the sound insulation of the Polo is worse than in the Getz, the smoothness of the Getz is better (it seemed so to me at first), the only thing that pleased — this is the appearance and exterior of the interior, one could feel the solidity and thoughtfulness of the German. Yes, and on the track, the Polo costs much better than the Getz, but here it is understandable, the base of the Polo is longer... But for the appearance, comfortable interior, trunk and better stability on the highway, isn’t it a big surcharge for cars in the same trim levels? That's what I thought at first...

Now, having driven the Polo for 73,000 km, working on it in a taxi, I can say the following, like a gourmet, I have come to appreciate and appreciate this car! I refused the official service. Changing the oil and filters costs about 3.5 thousand rubles. with work and materials, the officials demand 8-10 thousand rubles.

During all this time, in addition to oil, filters, spark plugs, I only changed a set of front pads (they are really very expensive, for budget car, 3t.r) and that’s it!

Strengths:

  • Reliable suspension
  • Stability on the track
  • Comfortable ergonomic interior
  • Pleasant solid appearance
  • Spacious trunk
  • Low cost of servicing in a regular service (not from the officials who make three skins of themselves), because There is no belt in the engine, but a chain
  • High body strength (resistance to minor accidents)
  • In addition, new polo shirts now come with improved sound insulation, so comfort has increased)))

Weak sides:

  • Low beam
  • Wide and deep thresholds
  • High and wide tunnel on the floor at the back

The fact that the 2010 VW Polo 5 is a facelift of the revolutionary Polo 9N is no secret to anyone. Base engines 1.4 and 1.2, the body without external panels, the chassis is the same, only the shell and interior have changed. Well, okay - they don’t look for good from good, as you know, this practice is now generally accepted among automakers, and Zhiguli did this for 40 years.

However, sometimes the instinct of consumption began to overcome me, I wanted a new car. The 9N 3 is good for everyone - beautiful, reliable, phenomenally economical, playful and comfortable, but it did not give any mental satisfaction, the fact that I bought the car second hand when I was no longer a girl and it bore the mistakes of my youth from the previous owner and her young child in the form of scratches , dents, traces of a fountain pen, etc. In general, I wanted a new one and that’s it. The last 9N 3 were sold together with 6R until 2011 in Belarus, and in some places outside Moscow, after which they were withdrawn from sale forever.

That is, it is logical that I went to a well-known car dealership to look at the Polo 5, confident that it would definitely not get any worse, although it was clear in absentia that the changes there were far-fetched and were only of a marketing nature.

Weak sides:

Review of Volkswagen Polo 1.4 (Volkswagen Polo) 2012

So, I own car Polo Hatch 2012, assembled in Spain, gearbox - DSG7. The equipment is the most complete, with the exception of climate control. During the period from July 2012 to the present, exactly 22 thousand cars have run. The impression has already been formed, so I can tell you what I think.

The most important thing that you immediately pay attention to is Automatic transmission. Seven steps is a lot, in traffic jams you curse everything in the world, constant pokes due to switching to very low revs. And those who say that this is not the case are lying godlessly! Further, there are constant rollbacks, it rolls back the same way as a mechanic - there are only two options: the anti-rollback system, or on the hill press the brake harder and have time to throw your leg over). There is a sport mode, which gives some agility due to the fact that the gearbox upshifts later and downshifts later too.

Steering wheel It’s very light, which may be convenient in a parking lot, but on the road it’s terrible. No, of course it becomes heavier as the speed increases, but this is not enough - there is no information content. It’s scary to imagine what would happen if he was thrown into a rut. By the way, polo can withstand ruts with great difficulty (dimension winter tires 185/65/15). Once, due to hydroplaning, the car skidded, I managed to catch it only because I didn’t get confused and pressed the gas, the steering wheel was spinning like crazy. In general, I am not satisfied with this steering wheel to an extreme degree. P.S. For me, the ideal steering wheel is on an Astra N or a Peugeot 308, anyone who has driven it will understand.

Strengths:

  • Ease of maneuvering and parking
  • Fuel consumption
  • Appearance
  • Brand
  • The country of assembly is not Russia (thank God)
  • Suspension is good on bumps

Weak sides:

  • DSG7 clearly requires improvement (maybe firmware changes)
  • Suspension sways
  • The steering wheel is too light

Review of Volkswagen Polo Sedan 1.6 (Volkswagen Polo) 2011 Part 3

Hello, dear site visitors. I sold my polo 6 days ago and before I forget, I decided to complete the story about the operation and at the same time share the sales process. The Polo sedan was purchased in April 2011 and had covered 31 thousand km at the time of sale. There are 0 complaints about reliability, not a single unscheduled breakdown. Under warranty, the steering tips and trunk lock were replaced, but this was within the framework of the recall company; there were no visible problems with them.

Strengths:

  • 1.6 16kl lovely reliable motor, which was placed on Golf4, Fabia, etc.
  • Large trunk
  • High ground clearance
  • Bare base price

Weak sides:

  • Short travel suspension. Sometimes it will stab you in the back... very unpleasant
  • The savings are visible and tangible... the seats, the lights - that's what stands out the most... you can get used to the interior

Review of Volkswagen Polo Sedan 1.6 (Volkswagen Polo) 2011

I purchased the car in February 2011. Volkswagen Polo sedan 1.6, 105 hp, manual transmission. Components COMFORTLINE + extras. package radio CD / MP 3. There is no hint that it was assembled in Russia. All the gaps are even, nothing creaks anywhere. Front seats without lateral support. You sit as if on a chair, after 450 km without stopping you felt like an old grandfather, your legs were numb, your back ached, i.e. Front seat comfort is not very good. From behind, my wife says that it’s a little worse than in Skoda. Before the first maintenance, the time flew by quickly. The first maintenance cost about 6500, which is somehow too much for a scheduled maintenance. I decided to buy consumables myself, they were charged 1.5 times. For the next maintenance I paid about 3000 rubles only for an oil change. I changed the filters myself. The engine runs great, but runs like a diesel. The first 10,000 km were a run-in, and the engine worked somewhat sluggishly, but then everything was fine. Manual transmission - everything is clear, clear and reliable, for all 77,000 km there are no complaints about it. I didn’t notice the oil consumption, although sometimes I turned the engine to the red zone. In terms of consumption in the city during the day with traffic jams, I get around 10-11 l/100km. In the summer too, since I ride with an air conditioner. On the highway from 6.2-6.8, around 6.5 liters at a speed of 110 km/h. At night you experience a little discomfort due to the blinding headlights. And it was possible to make fabric upholstery on the doors, otherwise it would be a bit boring, but on the other hand, nothing would get dirty on the doors.

The car is good, a workhorse for a small family and trips to the countryside and nature. Without any special frills, but still, unlike its competitors, it gives a little driving emotion (small). I really didn’t want to sell, because I was happy with the car for that price, I had thoughts of changing it in the summer by buying and selling a Golf 6 with similar mileage and year, but tsi, 6 manual transmission, with climate control, but... it required an additional payment of at least 140-150 tr, so it’s just I was thinking about it... In the end, I couldn’t resist the special offer for a limited edition Seat Leon with a very sweet price; I paid an additional 170 rubles and bought it. But I will explain this in detail in another review.

The time has come to sell; in the trade, the polo was valued by one dealer at 410 rubles, by another at a maximum of 400. It was decided to sell it myself. After a couple of calls from outbids with an offer to buy at a trade-in price)) and a call from one left salon with a stupid offer, he will put them on the site and wait or an urgent buyout for a maximum of 380tr, which is what they were sent with. A normal guy called, didn’t haggle, looked it over, then asked to come to the service, they looked at everything, they said it was ideal, you need to take it. I gave him 5 rubles and the polo was sold for 435 rubles. A couple of competitors for 450 are already under 2 months...

COMFORTLINE + add. package radio CD / MP 3. And it was possible to make fabric upholstery on the doors, otherwise it would be a bit boring, but on the other hand, nothing would get dirty on the doors.

Well, now the small defects on the car:

There are a lot of complaints about the suspension. I didn’t like the way the car swayed; I previously owned a Skoda Fabia. It was not like the child was throwing up. Sweat bumps as you ride and you sway and are thrown out of the seat. You have to be careful when going out into nature; it can stall on a small bump, and the point is not what kind of tires it is, but the fact that the car lacks anti-skid. It’s not very good in the snow, where every winter I drove a Daewoo Nexia and a Skoda Fabia without any problems, but with a Polo the task turned out to be almost impossible.

Strengths:

  • Always starts
  • Reliable
  • Spacious

Weak sides:

  • Soft suspension
  • Blind at night
  • Rumbles like a diesel
  • Russian assembly or factory defects
  • The seats are not comfortable
  • Expensive service from the official
    • Spacious interior and trunk
    • Looks stylish
    • Ergonomic comfortable steering wheel and driver's seat
    • Good engine
    • Tight suspension stands perfectly on the road

    Weak sides:

    • For this price you can forgive a lot, but I would like a more impenetrable suspension (longer travel), otherwise, perhaps, everything is fine. Is there only one choice of engines, I would like 2-3

The Germans should not be involved in the quality of car assembly. Elegant and sporty, reliable and ergonomic, technically advanced and absolutely modern examples of skilled automotive engineering produced by largest corporation Volkswagens are selling to dealer showrooms like hot cakes.

The Volkswagen Polo is in great demand, one of the ten best-selling cars in the world. European countries. Produced since 1975, the car has survived five generations and many restylings.

The sedan model deserves special attention. In Russia, the Polo sedan is one of the most popular exhibits, assembled at Kaluga automobile plant. Reliable, easy to use, dynamic and designed specifically for Russian roads– this is how the B-segment model can be characterized in general terms.

And now: what exactly has the manufacturer prepared in 2015?

Appearance

How quickly cars “grow”. It seems like just yesterday we saw a Polo with “square” straight body lines that could be recognized a kilometer away. But that was 40 years ago. A lot has changed since then. From generation to generation, the car grew, acquiring the solid appearance of a modern gentleman with a slender, sporty character.

Exterior photo of Volkswagen Polo 2015 (click on the image to enlarge it)

Today, models from many manufacturers can be compared with each other - they are so similar. So the 2015 Polo has family traits in the exterior, similar to the Jetta body design. For owners of a new copy of German technology, the similarity is, of course, a huge plus, which cannot be said about the owners of prestigious versions, who are unlikely to be pleased with the release of the new Polo.

It is worth noting the lighting technology, which is precisely the key to creating the expressive appearance of the sedan. For the first time "state employee" in basic configuration is equipped not only with a set of LED “decorations”, but also with bi-xenon headlights. The “cherry on the cake” is the built-in headlight washer, which even some top-end cars cannot boast of.

I must immediately say something about “foglights”. Now they are not only used as a source of additional lighting, but also have a cornering light function.

The rear lights, fitting compactly into the rear space of the car, are naturally also equipped with LED lights.

The radiator grille has become noticeably wider. The mesh is finished with chrome plating. The familiar VW brand logo was placed in the center.

The hood added aggression and became more convex and prominent. Looking at this miracle of an aerodynamic solution, you feel both unsurpassed respectability and an unprecedented sporty spirit of the car.

Among the innovations it is worth mentioning side mirrors rear view. The Germans built LED design into the turn signal indicators, and equipped the elements themselves with an electric drive that is activated by simply pressing a button in the car interior.

For different configurations the Germans prepared both steel and alloy wheels measuring 14 and 15 inches respectively. They come with full-size caps of the original design.

The dimensions correspond to the representative character of the sedan: length – 4390 mm, width – 1699 mm, height – 1467 mm. The ground clearance is made taking into account the conditions of Russian off-road conditions - 170 mm - a low bow to the German manufacturer.

Salon

European Volkswagen Polo hatchbacks look better inside than our Kaluga sedans. If in European models only high-quality materials are used for interior decoration, then in “our” cars the quality leaves much to be desired. Probably, if the manufacturer had not reduced the price interior decoration car, then the sedan would cost much more than “budget” prices.

But these are rather nitpicking: the fabric is still pleasant to the touch and will withstand a large number of trips. The color is also delightful and pleasing to the eye. Especially for the Highline package. Two-color range is a new feature for many modern manufacturers. The sedan perfectly combines beige and black.

The designers did not forget about ergonomics or quantity free space. All the necessary functions are at hand, and there is enough space for a person of any size. The latter concerns the situation “in the rear” of the cabin - the rear seats can comfortably accommodate three passengers.

In addition, it should be noted that the driver's seat has many adjustments and is electrically heated with two operating modes.

The steering column is adjustable for reach, and the steering wheel itself has a fashionable “cropped” design, confirming the dynamics of the sedan’s interior. The presence of multimedia complex control buttons on the steering wheel has already become a classic for modern models.

The infotainment system has not undergone any major changes: a small touchscreen display is installed in the center, and below it is an audio system with a USB input. The entire panel is encased in a sleek matte chrome finish.

The luggage compartment corresponds to the solid style of the car, surprising with its size - 460 liters. The rear seats fold down to double the space. There's also an LED backlight so you don't have to look for it the right thing In the dark.

Finally, the variety of different sensors and options included in the packages is striking. These include rear and front parking sensors, rain and light sensors, adaptive cruise control, heated windshield and side mirrors, air conditioning and a huge package of security systems.

Technical equipment

For all four trim levels presented on the Russian market, the Germans assembled a new 1.6-liter gasoline engine.

The basic version is equipped with a 1.6-liter unit with 4 cylinders and a power of 85 hp. The maximum torque is 145 Nm. Maximum speed– 179 km/h. The car can accelerate to “hundreds” in 11.9 seconds. In mixed mode, the engine consumes 6.4 liters. Works in tandem with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Next is the same unit with 4 cylinders. But it has more output - 105 hp. with a torque of 153 Nm. “Maximum speed” - 190 km/h. Acceleration to 100 km/h can be achieved in 10.5 seconds. It consumes the same amount of fuel - 6.4 liters. Transmission – “mechanics” with 5 ranges.

The third installation has the same characteristics as the previous device. The only difference is in the transmission configuration – here the consumer receives a full-fledged “automatic” with 6 gears.

Conclusion

A huge advantage of the car is the ratio of price and a wide range of functions, some of which are difficult to find on analogues of the presented model. On the Russian market, the 2015 sedan will further consolidate its position in its class thanks to attractive appearance, exclusive interior features for state employees and solid engine compartment characteristics.

The answer is obvious. This is a front-wheel drive five-seater B-class sedan Volkswagen Polo 2018, for the first time in history German concern, designed specifically for Russia, with its own production located near Kaluga.

In the Grabtsevo technology park, next to the assembly facilities, engine production has also been established, where the plant performs machining cylinder blocks, crankshafts and final assembly of engines. Modern technologies Quality controls contribute to low PPM scores.

The model has 6 standard configurations based on gasoline 4-cylinder engines, volume 1.4 and 1.6 liters with manual transmission or automatic transmission.

Externally restyled car 2019 model year features a front bumper, a radiator grille made of three powerful nickel-plated stripes, and round lenses fog lights.

German budget sedan combines affordable prices and a presentable appearance, which makes it invariably popular in Moscow and the Russian car market.

Cost of owning a car

Let's consider the main items of expenses of a car owner, the data of which is based on actual facts, in conditions of real operation in the conditions of heavy city traffic in Moscow, and not on average indicators in ideal conditions.

Maintenance cost

The cost of maintenance from an official dealer is fully consistent general concept budget car. The first maintenance (mileage 15 thousand km), which involves changing the oil, fuel and cabin filters, computer testing and routine control at 20 points, will cost an amount ranging from 9,200 to 9,500 rubles, depending on engine power and transmission type.

TO-8 - 13,500 rubles for the 1.6 MPI (77 kW) model AT - up to 43,900 rubles for the 1.4 TSI (92 kW).

Post-warranty maintenance is on average a third cheaper. Repair using original parts relatively inexpensive, thanks to the assembly production located in Russia.

Warranty repairs (terms, conditions)

Warranty (terms, conditions)

The official car dealer warranty for the Volkswagen Polo is special - 2 years excluding mileage or 3 years/100 thousand kilometers: for original spare parts and components installed at official dealership centers.

The safety of the paint layer of the body, made using laser welding technology, is guaranteed for 12 years. The warranty begins from the date of sale of the vehicle and is maintained subject to compliance with the terms of the warranty maintenance.

Gasoline consumption

Among its budget competitors is the Conceptline 1.6 version with manual transmission gear stands out due to its suitable starting price and reasonable fuel consumption, amounting to:

  • 7.8-7.9 liters - when driving around the city;
  • 4.5-4.7 liters - when driving on the highway;
  • 5.7-5.9 liters - in mixed mode.

Ergonomics

Driver's workplace

Despite the car’s budget and thoughtful economy in the use of expensive finishing materials, the interior looks solid and laconic in German style. Inexpensive plastic parts fit perfectly, do not make noise unpleasant odor, does not creak when moving, and some of the armrests are carefully covered with soft fabric.

The driver's seat easily adapts to height and weight dimensions, which is greatly facilitated by the ability to adjust the steering column in two planes.

Some inconveniences include the inability to control the rear electric windows from the driver's seat and the absence of an armrest between the front seats.

Visibility

Good forward view does not tire you even when driving for a long time. The side stand is not noticeable during maneuvers. The overall pleasant impression is reduced by heated mirrors, available only as an option in expensive versions.

Interior comfort

Passenger seats

The rear row, thanks to the proprietary body architecture and the wheelbase increased to 2552 mm, allows second-row passengers to sit comfortably, stretching out their legs and leaning back on the headrests.

An audio system with CD and MP3 support is available in the option package and is a permanent feature Life configuration 1.6MT, MT5, Comfortline 1.6 MT5 (90 hp).

Trunk

The trunk volume of 460 liters, spacious for a sedan, can be increased by folding the rear seats.

Salon transformation

Folding backseat Available in Conceptline 1.6 MT5, Trendline 1.6 MT5, AT and Highline.

Dynamics

Accelerating dynamics

Equipped with modified EA211 series engines that meet the Euro-5 environmental standard with increased power up to 90 hp. and 110 hp

Since 2017, the AllStar package has been launched with a 1.4TSI engine with 125 hp, which makes it possible to accelerate to the first hundred kilometers in 10.4. seconds. Thanks to the powerful battery and starter of this model, a quick cold start of the engine is possible at minus 36⁰ C.

The acceleration range to 100 km in 10.4 - 11.2 seconds is typical for most versions, best performance- 9 seconds only for GT 1.4 MT6 and Highline 1.4 MT6.

Brake dynamics

Brake system equipped with ventilated disc front mechanisms and drum rear mechanisms. In the latest restyling rear brakes disk drives are installed.

Handling on the track

With a low weight, up to 1291 kg for the heaviest Highline, the car does not experience roll when cornering or when driving on high speed, good aerodynamics of the body ensures adhesion to the road surface.

The six- or seven-speed automatic transmission shifts gears smoothly. Fans of a faster start will prefer a configuration with a five- or six-speed manual transmission.

Cruise control is only available on the top-spec Highline.

Ride comfort

Smooth ride

Confident driving on domestic roads in the Volkswagen Polo is facilitated by the high ground clearance of 168 mm and the elastic McPherson suspension, which effectively absorbs impact energy. It handles large potholes and poor road surfaces with ease.

The main advantage of the chassis is its impenetrability, ease of repair and durability.

Noise insulation

Previously, the soundproofing of the cabin left much to be desired. The engine noise, even at relatively low speeds, was clearly audible inside the cabin. After the latest restyling changes, this problem was eliminated by installing sound-absorbing mats in the roof and between engine compartment and salon. Now “Shumka” deservedly gets 5 points!

Microclimate in the cabin

All trim levels, except Conceptline 1.6 MT5 (90 hp), have standard air conditioning.

Sales market: Russia.

Volkswagen Polo Sedan is a model created on the basis Polo hatchback especially for Russia and markets of developing countries. The world debut of the Polo Sedan took place on June 2 at the 2010 Moscow Motor Show. In 2015, the company introduced an updated version to the Russian market. What distinguishes the sedan from the previous sedan are changes in the exterior (new front and rear bumper s, new optics, changed radiator grille, changed design rims, new body colors). There are also differences in the interior: new upholstery and trim options are available, a new steering wheel. A number of functions have also been added to the updated model, for example, folding mirrors and front parking sensors, bi-xenon headlights, headlight washers and other equipment have become available. Initially, the sedan was offered with the same power units, but at the end of 2015 the line of engines was updated.

Polo Sedan provides many configuration options, while the standard set of versions (Trendline, Comfortline, Highline) is supplemented by the budget Conceptline, more advanced Life and sports version G.T. The most inexpensive Conceptline package includes body-colored bumpers, daytime running lights, and 14" steel wheels. LED backlight rear license plate, height-adjustable driver's seat, steering column with reach and tilt adjustment, electric windows front and rear, central locking, multifunction display and trip computer, audio preparation and fabric interior. In more expensive versions Polo owner The Sedan gets larger rims (steel R15, alloy R15, R16), side mirrors with turn signals, heating, electrically adjustable and electrically folding, heated washer nozzles, heated seats, air conditioning or climate control and many other functions. Particularly worth highlighting is the GT package, in which the Polo is distinguished by sporty exterior elements (sports grille, sports bumpers, double exhaust pipe, rear spoiler) and interior ( sports seats with exclusive upholstery, sports steering wheel).

Volkswagen Polo Sedan is available only in front-wheel drive. The updated line of engines includes modifications with a 1.6-liter engine in 90 hp output options. and 110 hp (the previous 1.6-liter engines, which were installed until 2015, had a power of 85 hp and 105 hp). The 90-horsepower engine is offered with a 5-speed manual transmission (11.4 seconds acceleration to 100 km/h and average consumption 5.8 l/100 km). 110-horsepower - with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission (acceleration to “hundreds” in 10.5 seconds and 12.1 seconds, average fuel consumption 6.4 l/100 km and 7 l/100 km) 100 km). New motor The 1.4 TSI turbocharged engine produces 125 hp. It is equipped with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DSG robot. For both modifications, the acceleration time from 0-100 km/h is 9 seconds, the average consumption is 5.7 l/100 km.

Volkswagen Polo Sedan is perfectly adapted to Russian conditions, and this means the presence of reinforced suspension elements. In addition, even the most inexpensive version comes standard with power steering with variable efficiency depending on speed. As the manufacturer states, Polo body Sedan is protected from corrosion using special enamels that are resistant to aggressive external factors. Wheelbase sedan - 2552 mm (versus 2470 for the hatchback), this provides it with enough spacious salon for its class and a spacious luggage compartment (minimum volume - 460 liters).

As for safety systems, the basic equipment of the Polo Sedan (Conceptline) includes 3-point belts for all seats, front airbags, ABS system, Isofix fastenings on back seat, daytime running lights, headlight range control. For Trendline and above configurations, rear disc brakes(for all versions with 90 hp engine - drum brakes rear), and with the “Safety” package, side airbags and ESP stabilization system are available (standard for Highline and GT with a 7-speed automatic transmission). Besides, expensive versions can offer front fog lights with cornering lights, front and rear parking sensors, light and rain sensors, daytime running lights with low beam assistant and the “Coming home” function.
