Full of despair and impressions of different cars (Nissan, Mitsubishi, KIA, Honda, Hyundai, Hover, etc.). And so, not expecting anything interesting, my wife decided to drive the Citroen, although we were just passing by. Upon entering the salon, I immediately noticed 2 cars: Aircross and DS-4 (DS-5 seemed too “alien”). I took both cars for a test drive and noted for myself the sensitivity of the ds-4’s controls, which “understood” my actions and reacted immediately, achieving 99% of the expected results (And this is provided that the transmission was automatic and not manual ).

I liked everything about the management, all that remains is to settle everything according to the other criteria. By the way, the selection criteria on the wife’s part were: spaciousness, style, SUV, smooth movement. According to my wife's criteria, the Aircross was more suitable, but it has a design Mitsubishi ASX inside, which was previously rejected - this undoubtedly played into my hands :-) Since the design, both internal and external, of the DS-4, in my opinion, was excellent, compared to many competitors in this price range. According to the mechanic, this happens in 4 out of 10 cars. Otherwise there were no more problems.

Yesterday I attended a test drive of the DS4. I decided to express my opinion on this car. In general, I had good impressions about it: comfortable chairs that were easily adjusted to your parameters; when the seats were covered with leather, additional functions were added such as electric seat adjustment and memory, as well as lumbar massage, which, unfortunately for some reason, did not work.

From more significant shortcomings I found an uncomfortable fit in the rear seats (knees rest against the backs of the front seats and there is no air duct to the legs).

The plastic of the torpedo is pleasant and soft to the touch. There is hard plastic on the A-pillars and on the top of the doors. The console between the front seats is equipped with two holes for glasses; one contains an ashtray, which can be removed if desired. In general, before getting to know my swallow better, I had a rather negative opinion about Citroens and did not consider them as candidates when choosing a new car.

The first one I had Ford Focus(2009 model), drove it for a year, or rather it would be more accurate to say, got tired of it, constant repairs at the dealer's service, sold it (thank God).

My next car was Opel Astra J (2010), everything was fine, I loved him very much until after finishing 2 year warranty The rumblings didn’t start, so I had to part with him too.

Then I also wanted to take Astra, but the GTC is a three-door, but I thought about the future and decided that such a car would not be suitable for a family. One day I went to a car dealership and saw a Citroen DS4, so out of curiosity I signed up for a test drive. After passing it, I realized that I fell in love with this car at first sight, or rather the test drive. I wanted only a manual transmission, I love the feel of the car, but to my great chagrin the choice was only between 200 - strong (for 1,200,000 rubles) and 150 - strong.

A week ago, the same whistle appeared when braking, and at minimum speed, although it is not loud, it is very unpleasant. The car service assumed that sand had gotten in and offered to sort it out and clean it for 2,500 rubles until I decided whether to go or not.

And today something completely out of the ordinary happened: at a temperature of -3, two service messages appeared in the car: 1) charge reduced battery; 2) adjust the coolant level. I'm already afraid to imagine what will happen next. Winter is just around the corner.

And I almost forgot. I began to notice a vibration under my foot during a trip, at first I thought it was just an illusion, but after reading several reviews, I realized that I was not the only one who felt exactly the same vibration.

I'm not very happy with the purchase. It would seem new car, and already problems with brake pads, disks, battery. These are the problems.
