Nissan Murano technical. Technical characteristics of Nissan Murano: overview of all generations. Cost and options

Nissan Murano is a crossover known throughout the world, which has an unusual exterior, powerful specifications and a comfortable interior. Today, the third generation is being successfully sold on the Russian automobile market, which is best indicator demand for the model. In this article we will look at how the Nissan Murano technical characteristics changed in each generation and what you should pay attention to when buying a car produced in 2016-2017.

First generation of the car

The mid-size crossover Nissan Murano rolled off the assembly line of a Japanese plant in 2003. Initially the model was intended for automotive market America. For creating vehicle the front-wheel drive FF-L platform was used (the same as the previously released Nissan Altima sedan). The car has a spectacular exterior, as well as stylish interior decoration. Murano was offered to US motorists with two types of power plants - gasoline engine, having a power of 243–249 Horse power, as well as a variator. There was also a choice of car drive type - full and front-wheel drive.

In 2005, the manufacturer considered it necessary to update the first generation, as a result of which the model received a suspension with an impressive reserve of energy capacity, improved technical characteristics, which had the best effect on the vehicle’s handling. Many owners of the first generation Murano noted that the car had significant drawback: If you drive for a long time on uneven terrain, the suspension starts to click a little. But despite this, this representative of the crossover segment coped with various road obstacles without any problems.

It's safe to say that Nissan murano technical characteristics allow us to conclude that the car is more like a reliable and time-tested SUV than a car. If you want to evaluate the full power and ease of controllability of the vehicle, we recommend conducting a test drive on a snowy road with ESP turned off. It seems that the manufacturer specially adapted the model for slippery surfaces,

It must be said that you shouldn’t expect much from the transmission of this crossover. The maximum that can be achieved is the transfer of torque from the slipping front wheels to the rear ones.

Second generation crossover

The presentation of the second generation Nissan Murano took place in the fall of 2007. The vehicle was designed using a specially developed Nissan D platform. The model was significantly modified externally, received expanded equipment, and the model range was replenished with an original convertible version.

Second generation cars were equipped with the same power plants as previous generation. The manufacturer has reduced fuel consumption and also significantly modernized the unit. For European market Nissan Murano was produced with a 2.5-liter turbodiesel engine (190 horsepower) and a six-speed automatic transmission. For sale in the USA, the model was equipped with a four-cylinder unit with a power of 170 hp. pp., paired with a variator.

The second generation of a powerful crossover

Owners of the second generation claim that the model can be called premium crossover. On the road, the vehicle has excellent handling, and fuel consumption corresponds to those included in the official description of the manufacturer.

Third generation Nissan Murano

To the attention of Russian car enthusiasts, before the 2017 restyling, the third generation crossover Nissan Murano was offered with a single option power plantgasoline engine. It had a volume of 3.5 liters and a power of 249 horsepower. The unit was paired with an Xtronic V-chain variator, which had two operating modes. In urban conditions, the car's appetite does not exceed 10-10.3 liters. In many European countries there was an opportunity to purchase hybrid version models with a turbo engine producing 234 horsepower.

The Nissan Murano crossover in the Z52 body came out on Russian market only in 2016, although the official premiere of the new product took place a couple of years ago. The lion's share of the time that passed from the moment of debut to the start of Russian sales was spent on the so-called adaptation of the car to our conditions. During the tests, optimal chassis settings were selected, which significantly reduced sway and body roll. The suspension design itself has not changed: MacPherson struts are used at the front, and an independent multi-link at the rear.

At the core new version The 2016-2017 Nissan Murano is based on the Nissan D platform, which is also used for and. The body has high strength and torsional resistance, surpassing the pre-reform power frame in these indicators. During the change of generations, they were adjusted dimensions crossover: length increased to 4898 mm (+38 mm), width - to 1915 mm (+30 mm). The height of the SUV, on the contrary, decreased slightly – from 2720 to 1691 mm (-29 mm). Remained unchanged wheelbase– 2825 mm.

Gamma power units models traditionally do not indulge in variety. There are only two engines available for the Russian Murano, and both of them are well known to us from the Pathfinder. The first engine is a six-cylinder old-timer VQ35DE with a displacement of 3.5 liters, tuned to produce 249 hp. and 325 Nm. The second unit is a hybrid installation formed by a tandem of a gasoline “four” QR25DER 2.5 liters (234 hp, 330 Nm) and synchronous motor(20 kW, 160 Nm). There is only one gearbox - a continuously variable Xtronic chain variator with a torque converter.

The crossover with a petrol V6 is offered in front- and all-wheel drive configurations. Hybrid Nissan The Murano Z52 comes in 4WD mode by default. Connectable all-wheel drive is implemented using multi-plate clutch, installed in front rear axle. The coupling's resistance to overheating, decent ground clearance (184 mm) and good geometry allow Japanese crossover confidently storm off-road areas.

With similar traction characteristics of a regular V6 and hybrid installation the latter saves fuel much better. In mixed mode, the difference in fuel consumption is 1.6 liters (9.9 versus 8.3 liters). At the same time, the acceleration dynamics of both versions with the all-wheel drive version of the Nissan Murano 3.5 are comparable.

Nissan Murano, 2015

Hello everyone, I recently purchased new Nissan Murano (Z52). To make it clear, I previously drove an Infiniti FX45, Land Rover Freelander 2 diesel, Volvo XC60 diesel. I’ll say right away, I was choosing between Pajero Sport new 2016 and Nissan Murano. I did a test drive and realized that those who are fishermen and hunters do not have small children, then the Pajero (the spine falls into the underpants especially at the back, no offense to Pajero fans). Since I have a small child, I understand that the Nissan Murano is a good old Infiniti in terms of convenience. Chassis: I have an R20, it drives steadily and quietly, everything is basically good, the package is complete, I just don’t know what else you can put in the car. Consumption: while I'm driving in eco mode - the average is 11.2 liters per 100 km, I tried it in normal mode, it turned out to be 13-14 liters, but I haven't driven it yet, we can talk about consumption normally after the first maintenance. The trunk is enough for a family, the snowboard fits, but with tension. But it is larger than in the FX45. In general, if you don’t need to drive through swamps, but only on country roads and asphalt, it’s comfortable and convenient - this is your car. IN price category and quality, I think, you won’t find better. Good luck to everyone on the roads.

Advantages : BOSE system. Equipment. Noise insulation. Maintenance every 15 thousand km.

Flaws : Exhaust pipe mounting.

Nissan Murano, 2017

One of the disadvantages of the Nissan Murano is that it has a small trunk for this size of car. Automatic window lifter only 1. When the windows are locked, everything except the driver's window is blocked, including for the driver. Automatic closing doors cannot be adjusted. The automatic folding of the mirrors also cannot be configured. The trunk curtain is stupid, it eats up space in height and cannot be removed under the floor. They said there is a sensor high beam, well, it exists, only it is deactivated. The leather on the steering wheel looks like it was torn off from some kind of dinosaur. At parking speeds the steering is heavy. The '17 car does not have Google Car play. The configuration of the bottom is disgusting, a lot of hanging protruding parts. 20 wheels - hard, knocking on the joints, if it were possible, I would take 18s. All-round cameras, the picture quality could be better. There is no heated windshield. The coloring is really thin, I measured it with a thickness gauge - the range is 45-100 microns.

On the plus side. The engine, the most important plus of the Nissan Murano, in my opinion, is a 3.5 liter V-shaped “aspirated” engine. The variator - in my opinion, in combination with the engine, is more of a plus rather than a minus, but we'll see in the winter. The salon has a lot of space both front and rear, both in length and width. Rear backrests The tilt is adjustable, and the range is wide, you can actually almost lie down. Light - the head light is very good (before this there was a car with factory xenon, this one is better). Seats - soft, comfortable ventilation, front side- leather, everything else is leatherette. The only thing missing is the length adjustment of the pillow. Consumption is quite reasonable for a car of this mass and with such an engine: outside the city, speed range 90-140, the average was 9 liters, in the city 13.5. But if you're stuck in traffic jams for 18 - 20, it's good that traffic jams are a rare occurrence in our country. Let's see how it will be in winter. Record 8.2 on the highway in heavy traffic speed 80-90. Eat standard autostart- We'll check its usefulness in winter. Large multimedia screen - easy to poke. The sound - I'm certainly not a music lover, but overall it's good, although there are few settings and there is no equalizer. In terms of noise, it’s good at speeds up to 160, but above that it’s a bit noisy. In terms of smoothness on the highway, this is rather a plus; for its height, the Nissan Murano drives normally, although there is some swaying on local roads. Well exterior design- I like it, it stands out against the background of all sorts of VW Touareg and Audi Q7 of previous generations, of which we have many in the city.

Advantages : in the review.

Flaws : in the review.

Nissan Murano, 2016

What did you like about the Nissan Murano? The VQ35 engine, familiar to me for a long time from the Infiniti FX35, but now it is different, pulls from the bottom and spins up with lightning speed. The gearbox is a variator, yes, it’s not an Aisin 7 mortar, but it is very well tuned and makes an excellent match for the engine. I hope it won't let you down. There is no trolleybus effect; an inexperienced driver will not understand that this is a CVT. The brakes are fine. But, alas, these are only 2-piston calipers, and the diameter of the discs is not impressive. The equipment is TOP, for the money it suits, perhaps, everyone. Noise insulation. All the noise is through the glass, below there is silence on the asphalt. Nothing squeaks from the interior, we'll continue to look. Comfort. After FX, it’s just some kind of holiday, even at 20 skating rinks. Cluttered, energy-intensive. Large salon. Much more FX. The consumption of the 3.5 liter engine is pleasing.

What I didn’t like: extremely controversial design solution torpedoes, the right knee rests against the panel. You have to move further away than you would like (relevant only for heights greater than 185 cm). But, nevertheless, I freely sit down by myself, which is surprising. Steering wheel. Great effort at parking speeds. The steering wheel has a larger diameter, less sharp than the FX, and you have to turn the steering wheel more. I'm not used to it yet, perhaps. There are no complaints about taxiing at speed. There is a roll, noticeable after the Infiniti, but you have to pay for comfort, and there is not much roll. Small trunk. 450 liters versus 660 Sorento Prime. It's a shame, but not critical for me. Service interval 15,000 km. This is a lot, I will change the oil 2 times more often. High level windows, you can’t place your elbow on the top panel of the door, it’s narrow and high. Leather quality. Most likely, it is not leather at all. The bottom line is high, comfortable car, with an excellent engine-box connection, with a specific design from Japanese manufacturer with full three year warranty By great price(if you take last year’s car and bargain).

Advantages : large salon. Comfort. Noise insulation. Motor box.

Flaws : The steering wheel is a bit heavy in a parking lot. Leather quality.

Nissan Murano, 2018

I haven’t owned a Nissan before, I’ve only driven Kruzaks, so I can only compare it with a Toyota. I think that the Nissan Murano is great car both for the city and for the highway. On the plus side - brakes, dynamics, comfortable seats, passable sound insulation, consumption on the highway up to 100 km/h is 9 liters, in the city it reached 20 liters. Nissan Murano showed itself excellently during snowfalls; when changing lanes at speed, it jumps one or two times over ruts and snowy curbs. The downside is the short travel of the rear suspension, rear pillars tapping on speed bumps. The blowing of the front side windows is not well thought out; from minus 10, the front windows fog up, which interferes with visibility rear mirrors. At 3000 km I noticed oil fogging from under the front valve cover from the outside oil dipstick. When we contacted the dealer with this problem, they filled up the leak and told us to come back after 1000 km and we’ll keep an eye on it. Also, at first the gearbox was annoying with its hum at speeds from 0-20 km/h, but now I’m used to it, apparently this is how it should be. There was also a “glitch” of the light sensor when leaving the parking lot in daylight hours day the low beam did not switch to running lights, the problem was solved by restarting the engine. After some time everything worked as it should. On this moment I'll keep an eye on the mileage of 3500 km, and if anything comes up, I'll write.

Advantages : dynamics. Controllability. Patency. Comfort.

Flaws : rear suspension.

Nissan Murano, 2017

I’ve had the car for almost 2 years, why I’m writing a review only now, I don’t know, probably because the awareness of what a car is can only be achieved after enough time has passed. So, in 2 years I have driven almost thousand, done almost 4 maintenance and am happy with almost everything. The worst thing, in my opinion, is to understand after time that your choice was not the right one, this, thank God, did not happen and the Nissan Murano makes me happy to this day. Of course, I wanted something new, but the car still meets all my requirements. Soft suspension, adequate brakes, a large and reliable naturally aspirated engine and the most dubious part of the car - the variator, although there are no problems with it either, everything works like a clock, smoothly and softly. In winter, autostart helped out; by the way, it’s standard and works adequately, in long journey TV in the headrests helped out, because The children enjoyed watching the cartoons and did not bother us with questions. The trunk of the Nissan Murano is not the largest in its class, but it has a huge interior, and on a trip with my family to Crimea, taking into account our things, everything fit and was enough for me, my wife and two children, so in principle I don’t see the need for an even larger luggage compartment. So overall the car is very decent and better offers at that time there was simply no ratio between the money paid and the comfort and wealth of equipment received. Now I’m thinking about changing the car after the warranty expires and maybe I’ll come back to the Nissan Murano, but that’s not certain. It’s a pity that there is no “Patrol” in Russia, but maybe that will change. But the negative point in the Nissan Murano is the fuel consumption, which for me is 14-15 liters and not less than once, not under any circumstances, maybe due to an active driving style or something else, but the fact remains a fact. And the lack of One Touch on the passenger window is much more annoying than fuel consumption. I think I have everything.

Advantages : dynamics. Appearance. Reliability. Maintenance cost. Suspension. Comfort. Noise insulation. Cabin capacity. Controllability.

Flaws : multimedia. Trunk.

Sales market: Japan. Right hand drive

The first cars of this brand appeared in the north American market in December 2002 and literally gained enormous popularity in a matter of weeks. The reason for this success is quite clear; it is enough to just say that the width of this car is “for active rest»exceeds 1.8 meters. Initially, no one even thought about offering such a huge thing to a Japanese buyer. But the rumor that somewhere there, in America, a Japanese car was being sold, and that it was a success, gradually reached Japan. And then the demo sample was exhibited on Tokyo Motor Show 2003, which further aroused the interest of the automotive public. Voices began to be heard in favor of launching it on the domestic market.

And finally, in September 2004, the Murano car began to be sold in Japan, already converted to right-hand drive. This is perhaps one of the few external differences between models for internal and foreign market. True, it was decided that 18-inch tires should be one size smaller in width than is customary in America. Moreover, perhaps, there is one difference: the side-view mirror from the side front passenger acquired a built-in auxiliary mirror, as is customary for Japanese cars of this size.

But here's what you won't see on European car Murano is a combination of a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and a 4-speed automatic transmission transmission A modification is successfully sold on the American market, in which a 3.5-liter engine is combined with a CVT, and it also offers not only single-wheel drive on the front wheels, but also 4WD. And also, pendant Japanese car has undergone additional reconfiguration taking into account the fact that the car will mainly have to move at a relatively low speed, be it a city or a country road, even if it is called “high-speed”. Concerning interior decoration interior, then apart from the above-mentioned shift of the steering wheel from left to right, there are no other differences. But even without this, everything looks very high quality: aluminum parts, unique design, etc. In fact, a car of this class was wrongly classified as an SUV (“luxury passenger car for active recreation”). Rather, it is a kind of sports sedan, but only off-road.

Read completely

The Murano SUV was presented to the general public in the fall of 2002. The new product was named after the island of Murano, located near Venice and famous for its glassware. The car is built on new platform Altima. It is distinguished not only by its excellent dynamic characteristics, but also has unusual design. Murano impresses with its original appearance. Large base, short, rounded “bow” and “stern”, strongly inclined Windshield- and all this is mounted on impressive 18-inch wheels. In short, a bright and harmonious mixture sports station wagon and SUV, radiating strength, confidence and clearly attracting the attention of others.

Unlike other SUVs, you won't find a single straight line or sharp corner in the Murano's outline. The manufacturer was not mistaken in claiming that the car has the most modern and stylish design, thanks to which you will not confuse Murano with any of its competitors. The interior design is original, laconic and of very high quality. Manufacturers have abandoned wood trim, so plastic, leather and aluminum predominate.

The arrangement of the driver's seat deserves special attention. The creators provide for adjustment of the seat, steering column (tilt) and pedal block (forward and backward). Moreover, most of the adjustments are equipped with electric drives and memory for two combinations. Passengers in the second row are truly at ease and comfortable when there is space for the two of them to cross their legs, and the backrests are adjustable in angle.

IN standard equipment includes systems such as climate control, ventilation system, stereo system with 6-disc player, heated seats, power windows and control buttons Bose audio system on the steering wheel. In a word, the manufacturer has made every effort to ensure that the driver and passengers feel as comfortable as possible. However, if the standard set is not enough for you, you can additionally order leather interior, electric sunroof, navigation system GPS and adjustable pedal assembly.

Front and side airbags, head curtains, ventilated airbags are responsible for the safety of the driver and passengers. disc brakes on all 4 wheels and ABS.

The choice of engines is limited to a single V6 (3.5 l, 245 hp, 350 Nm), paired with a V-belt variator. A CVT is a mechanical continuously variable transmission. It is used to smoothly change the speed of the driven shaft. But Nissan feature Murano is that a powerful 245 hp engine is combined with a CVT; this is the first car with such power that was curbed by a CVT.

The power unit is located transversely and even in the all-wheel drive modification of the car, the front wheels remain the main drive wheels - center differential is missing, but instead an electronically controlled clutch is installed that connects the rear wheels when the front ones slip. For off-road use, the second 4x4 mode is intended: a rigid connection of the drive of both axles, which automatically returns to the first mode as soon as the speed exceeds 30 km/h.

Concerning high cross-country ability, then Murano does not lay claim to it, although one can note such off-road advantages as short overhangs, blocking of torque distribution between the axles and a lowering register of the automatic transmission. Ground clearance of only 178 mm speaks best of the Murano's urban purpose. This is evidenced by the low-mounted transmission oil cooler, covered from dirt only by a thin shield.

So, stylish appearance, rich equipment, spacious salon plus good dynamics acceleration, highway handling and excellent CVT performance indicate that the Nissan Murano, a worthy fighter in its sport, is also one of the least expensive among its competitors.

Debut Russian version The second generation Nissan Murano crossover took place in February 2009. Wanting to preserve and increase the number of loyal Murano fans, manufacturers did not radically change the model. It was simply improved. The exterior has become even sportier and more muscular. The general proportions of the crossover remained almost unchanged, but the front and rear end noticeably updated. The headlights have practically merged with the radiator grille, and at the rear, instead of vertical lights, there are now horizontal ones. Due to these changes, the Nissan Murano was able to lengthen by several centimeters without increasing the wheelbase. In addition, the crossover has increased its height a little.

The interior is still spacious, with more than enough space in both rows. All materials used in interior decoration are expensive and of high quality, and the colors and textures are pleasing to the eye and to the touch. In general, the design has become richer and more luxurious than that of previous model. Expensive leather upholstery in black or beige with double stitching, aluminum inserts, pleasantly modified center console and dashboard with control buttons on the edges of cylindrical instruments, soft variable lighting fully correspond to the idea of the comfort of a business class car. The glass and mirror controls have moved to the very top of the door and are right at hand. True, in this case we had to sacrifice the seat memory buttons, which moved almost to the very bottom of the door. The sound insulation of the interior has been improved.

As standard, the Murano II is equipped with an Intelligent Key system for keyless entry into the car with an engine start button, remote control rear seats, rear view camera with night mode, premium audio system, Bluetooth hands-free and satellite system navigation with 7-inch color touch screen. In more expensive trim levels electric drive available back door, as well as a DVD player with overhead monitor for passengers back row seats.

The 3.5-liter engine, known from the first generation Murano, has been updated and increased power to 249 hp. (265 hp in American version). The Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) continuously variable transmission has been updated even more significantly. Changes in the pressure control system and the introduction of a new microprocessor that controls the gear shifting process of the Xtronic CVT continuously variable variator have significantly optimized the shifting process, making it smoother and faster. The fact that serious work has been done on the engine-variator combination can be confirmed by fuel consumption, which according to the passport does not exceed 15 liters. Intelligent all-wheel drive system All Mode 4x4-i with electromagnetic coupling provides the ability to transfer up to 50% of torque to the rear wheels. At the same time, at speeds up to 80 km/h, All Mode 4x4-i works proactively, anticipating in advance the possibility of the front wheels slipping, based on the position throttle valve and torque, and transmitting torque to rear axle, without waiting for the situation when the wheels begin to lose traction road surface. At speeds above 80 km/h, the system works without anticipation, reacting only to actual wheel slippage.

The suspension became noticeably quieter and more comfortable. The crossover copes with uneven roads better than its predecessor. Murano II was created on the same D-class platform as Teana. Additional transverse ribs made it possible to increase the torsional rigidity of the platform by 45%. In general, this had a very good effect on the handling and stability of the car. But soft suspension now allows deeper roll in corners.

Body new Murano has a special highly elastic polymer coating Scratch Shield, which restores the paint surface after light scratches: when a body coated with such paint heats up in the sun, small scratches are delayed. The coating is applied to seven available colors body

The Nissan Murano II is superior to its first generation in many ways. More bright appearance and rich equipment brought it close to the class of luxury crossovers.
