The third incarnation of the Hyundai Tucson. Hyundai Tucson Reviews No need to worry

What to expect from a used one Hyundai Tucson

Today, most Hyundai Tucsons offered on secondary market Russia, - indigenous, sold official dealers our country. According to reviews from service station technicians, it is very reliable and inexpensive to maintain.

This car does not stand out from the crowd - an ordinary crossover with a simple exterior design. Why did he become so popular in his time? There is only one reason: a good price-quality ratio, which domestic car owners pay attention to much more than the elegant or muscular contours of the body.

Hyundai Tucson was presented to the general public in 2004, at the same time it appeared in the showrooms of Russian dealers. It should be noted that it came in a very good basic configuration - ABS, EBD, air conditioning, heated seats... Top configurations had climate control and exchange rate stability system.

Tucson (read as “Tussan”) owes its name to a city in the southwestern United States (in fact, the name of another Hyundai SUV, Santa Fe, was also born). It was the States that became the main market for the crossover.

No frills

The interior of the car is assembled quite well, without visible flaws, although the materials, of course, are quite budget-friendly. The seats are spacious and comfortable, the range of adjustments will allow a person of any height and build to get comfortable. Ergonomics are also okay; you don’t have to reach for the buttons and keys on the front panel. The only thing that prevents you from enjoying full comfort is the stiff suspension - but this, as we know, has its advantages.

As befits a utilitarian crossover, the Tucson is quite practical and has good possibilities for transforming the interior space. For example, you can fold the second row of seats without any extra effort, while the backrests fit under the level of the trunk floor. The back door consists of two parts - you can fold down only the glass or open it entirely. There are enough fastenings for nets in the cargo compartment, and there are a lot of pockets and boxes for small items in the cabin.

Of course, calling the Tucson a full-fledged SUV would be unfair. Structurally, there is nothing in it that would add confidence when driving into the mud: no powerful frame (here - a monocoque body), no locking (only an imitation of an interaxle), no reduction gear... The suspension travel is small - that’s what you’ll see when crossing a ditch diagonally the wheel will hang in the air. The bottom of the car is practically defenseless in front of virgin nature - it will not be difficult to damage one of the protruding parts, so you should be wary of going off-road.

The all-wheel drive system is more designed for slippery asphalt surfaces and primer roads after rain. The drive to all wheels uses equal joints. angular velocities. By default, 100% of the torque is transmitted to the front axle. Only when the front wheels slip does the multi-plate friction clutch transfer up to 50% of the available “newton meters” to the rear axle. The driver also has the opportunity to influence the distribution of torque; the clutch can be closed manually by pressing the corresponding 4WD Lock button. It is advisable to do this only at low speeds (up to 40 km/h) and not on hard surfaces. In principle, a similar all-wheel drive system is quite popular for SUVs: Nissan X-Trail, Honda CR-V, Land Rover Freelander and many other similar models use it.

Expert commentary

Sergey SURGALOV, senior foreman of the locksmith shop of the BLOCK company

There are definitely successful models in the range of each manufacturer. Tucson for Hyundai is one of them. Over several years of servicing and repairing this crossover, there are no obvious weak points could not be identified. Problems arose only among those owners who mercilessly exploited the Tucson on poor surfaces or off-road. Let me note that, in fact, the car is not intended for serious trophies; when designing it, completely different goals and objectives were set. If you manage to get caught in snow or mud, do not try to get out on your own at any cost. Have pity on the automatic transmission and the electromagnetic clutch: if you can’t get out on your own, don’t skid for hours - seek outside help.

From possible modifications I would recommend a diesel with automatic transmission. The engine is optimal for a crossover: the traction reserve is sufficient, while fuel consumption is relatively low. Again, I didn’t have a chance to deal with the vagaries of a diesel engine, which, however, does not free the buyer from a full diagnosis of the engine at the service.

No need to worry

The range of engines can be described as minimally sufficient. Economical owners will definitely prefer a two-liter gasoline engine. Of course, 140 Korean “horses” are unlikely to impress during acceleration, but fuel consumption is relatively moderate. In this case, the choice of transmission is maximum: five-speed manual or four-speed automatic, full or front-wheel drive(you can find one like this). Those who like to drive faster (fortunately, the Tucson doesn’t look like a lump on asphalt) should pay attention to the more powerful 2.7-liter V6, although in this case you’ll get all-wheel drive with an automatic transmission. At one time, the “six” was not very popular and was called a problematic engine. Indeed, the Tucson 2.7 liter had problems, but not with the engine at all. Owners powerful version They really love to press the gas with all their hearts - as a result, the machine could not stand it and often broke down. Dealers replaced the automatic transmission under warranty - the manufacturer quickly drew attention to the excessive number of complaints, found out the reason and sent a directive to update the official services software. Today, almost all Tucsons with V6 already have new software, so there is no need to worry about the machine breaking down - the problem is a thing of the past. The engine is quite reliable, except that the long timing belt can periodically whistle.

The two-liter turbodiesel is also very good. It’s a pity that diesel versions began to be officially supplied only in 2007. In Europe, of course, it was sold before, and the turbine had variable geometry. In the Russian version, the turbine is simpler, but this did not significantly affect the performance of the engine. The mileage of diesel modifications is still low, but in general, neither owners nor dealers have any complaints about them.

The front suspension of the Tucson is MacPherson type, the rear is multi-link. Special attention for city use the chassis is not required. If you don’t drive your crossover across the pampas, you will have to deal with replacing shock absorbers and silent blocks after 80 thousand km. A little earlier (at 60 thousand km) it is advisable to change the timing belt - perhaps, at this mileage, those who buy a Tucson will face the first serious expenses. A 60,000 km maintenance complex with recommended work completed at the dealer will cost at least 30,000 rubles. It is not surprising that this is precisely the mileage when car owners prefer to change the service to an unauthorized one. By the way, Hyundai has a fairly extensive network of dealers, so there were no long queues for service even in pre-crisis times. In Moscow, a car is taken for repair in almost any technical center - there is nothing extremely complicated in its design. The range of spare parts is impressive - popular parts can always be bought either made by an unknown Chinese, or original ones. Of course, most sober drivers prefer the “golden mean”.

Prevention should not be neglected. So, fuel system Experts recommend washing it every 30–40 thousand km. Every time you hang it on a lift, you must check the condition of the electromagnetic clutch seal. As a rule, it does not present surprises, but if a leak has already occurred, you should not put off replacing the part - this threatens the failure of the coupling (its cost together with replacement is about 40,000 rubles).

Other features include knocking noises from the shock absorbers. For a reason that has not yet been clarified, it is mainly the owners of front-wheel drive modifications who complain about them. Dealers recognize the knocking noise, but do not consider it a defect - accordingly, when asked to replace the “racks” under warranty, they refuse. It seems that there is really nothing wrong with this - tapping shock absorbers have been successfully fighting Russian road irregularities for a long time.

It's not time yet

Quite often one hears unflattering words about Korean bodies: they say that Asians skimp on metal and paint it very poorly. However, as experience shows, the Tucson’s paintwork perfectly withstands even the salty Moscow winters. And even if there were cases of parts being repainted under warranty, they were isolated.

Today it is no longer possible to choose a new Tucson for yourself - it has been replaced by a more recent ix35 model. But some things are still gathering dust in dealer warehouses. But owners of two- or three-year-old cars are in no hurry to get rid of them - another proof of a successful design. By the way, although the ix35 is fully adjusted to existing fashion trends in the world of crossovers (this applies to both design and functionality, options and other fillings), it nevertheless successfully borrows the transmission and chassis from our hero, Tucson. That's right: having something good, it doesn't always make sense to invent something even better.

Owners' opinions

Yuri VASILENKO Age - 53 years

In 2004, I bought one of the first Tucsons to appear at Russian dealers. Having driven a little less than 100 thousand km, I am satisfied with the car. It is quite convenient, comfortable, and has good dynamics with a 2.7 liter engine. The only complaints are fuel consumption (in urban use - 16 l/100 km) and the short service life of standard shock absorbers (those that came from the assembly line had to be replaced after 40 thousand km, although I am careful with unevenness). A little later, the silent blocks in the rear suspension were changed - but this is already the norm for cars operated in Russia. More serious problems never happened with Tucson.

Alexey GOMOLSKY Age - 37 years
Hyundai Tucson 2.7 l, automatic transmission (2006 onwards)

I liked the car first of all good value price quality. Of course, you need to understand that the Korean crossover is not luxury SUV. The interior is a bit noisy, the plastics are quite inexpensive. It just needs to be taken for granted. But the volume of the trunk allows you to easily place a baby stroller in it. And in general I’m not complaining - beautiful car for your money: comfortable, roomy, and inexpensive to maintain.
It always started with half a turn and, apart from undergoing scheduled maintenance, did not require any attention.

The design of the new Hyundai Tucson, developed under the leadership of the famous Peter Schreyer, is made in the signature “Flowing Lines” style. The car is given solidity and presentability by massive wheel arches, plastic protection along the entire perimeter, embossed sidewalls with stampings and chrome molding of the window sill line. Due to the increased length and reduced height, the silhouette of the model has become more rapid and dynamic.

The exterior also features the following elements:

  • Head optics. Slanting and slightly convex headlights with LEDs, extending onto the fenders of the car, are equipped with auto-corrector and washers.
  • Radiator grille. A massive radiator grille with chrome trim gives the crossover a predatory look.
  • Front bumper. In the updated front bumper, the lower part of which is made of unpainted plastic, symmetrical cells are located fog lights and strips of LED running lights.
  • Rear view mirrors. Auto-dimming side mirrors are equipped with turn signal repeaters.
  • Rear optics. Large tail lights combined type, extending onto the sides of the car, have LED filling.
  • Rear spoiler. An aerodynamic spoiler with a high-mounted brake light indicator complements the organic image of the car.
  • Wheel disks. As standard, the crossover is equipped with stylish alloy rims 17", in the top version their diameter is 19".

Interior

Modernized Hyundai salon Tucson, with its ergonomics thought out to the smallest detail, has received innovative functional equipment, improved sound insulation, as well as higher-quality finishing materials from a combination of natural and artificial leather with perforation.

Also in the interior of the Hyundai Tucson you should pay attention to the following elements:

  • Ergonomic seats. Comfortable front seats with adjustable lumbar support are equipped with heating, ventilation and electric adjustment in 9 directions.
  • Center console. The center console houses an on-board computer, control units for automated climate control, a multimedia display, as well as a heated steering wheel and front seats.
  • Multifunctional steering wheel. Multifunctional two-spoke steering wheel with leather trim, adjustable in height and reach, and also equipped with heating and control keys for telephone, climate control and other systems.
  • Multimedia system . An advanced multimedia system with support for MP3, Hands free and Bluetooth is equipped with navigation, 8” touch display and six speakers.
  • Rear seats. Foldable rear seats with adjustable backrest angle, equipped with heating, air ducts and central armrest with cup holders.
  • A roof with a panoramic view. IN top-end configuration A panoramic glass roof with a power sunroof is available.

Hyundai Tucson - very important car in the history of the Korean brand. Tussan helped Hyundai enter the modern SUV segment and top sales lists in many countries around the world.

Hyundai Tussan appeared simultaneously with the release of the second generation. Technically the cars are identical. They share a common body structure, chassis, engines and transmission. There are similarities in appearance, although each of them has its own original design.

In 2008, Tucson went through a restyling, during which the range of power units and appearance. Engineers also worked on some components. First of all, the settings of the chassis and steering were improved, and the efficiency of the brakes was also increased - by increasing the diameter brake discs. In 2010, the production of crossovers was completed.

Interior.

Hyundai Tucson offers good roominess. Four adults won't complain about the lack of space. However, only very slender people will be able to accommodate three people on the back sofa. The generous amount of legroom and variable backrest angle of the second row of seats will help you sit comfortably.

Things are worse with the trunk. The 320-liter case is far behind the competition. Consolation will be the opening glass of the fifth door, which provides quick and easy access to the luggage compartment.

You can’t find flattering words about the build quality and materials. The interior design is typical for Korean cars of that period - materials of average quality and mediocre design.

Engines.

The line of Hyundai Tussan power units, although modest, fully satisfies the needs of the owners. One of the most common engines was a 2-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine with a power of 142 hp. and a torque of 184 Nm. This engine is well suited for operating a vehicle in city conditions, as well as for installing gas equipment. This unit is perhaps the most reliable and cheapest to operate.

At the top of the range is a large V6 with a volume of 2.7 liters and a power of 175 hp. Contrary to popular belief, it does not provide proper dynamics, since it is paired exclusively with a 4-speed automatic transmission, originally from the 90s. However, after installing gas equipment, the engine becomes relatively economical and quite attractive in terms of operating costs.

The 4-speed automatic could be installed with the most powerful turbodiesel with a capacity of 140 hp. The same 2-liter diesel engine with a lower degree of boost had an output of 112 hp. After restyling, the power of the 140-horsepower diesel engine increased to 150 hp.

All versions of the SUV could be either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, with the exception of the petrol V6 version, which was always equipped with all-wheel drive transmission.

What breaks?

The 2-liter turbodiesel had a new and modern design. The RA420 series Commn Rail injection engine was developed Italian company V.M. This abbreviation causes horror among people who have experience owning “old” diesel models Jeep and Chrysler. Don't worry! This time the engine turned out to be successful and quite simple (by today's standards).

The power unit has cast iron block, one camshaft with timing belt drive and 16 valves. The 112-horsepower version works with lower injection pressure and a constant-geometry turbocharger. Modifications with recoil 140 and 150 hp. equipped with a variable geometry turbocharger, due to which the torque increased from 245 Nm to 305 and 310 Nm, respectively. In some cars with the most powerful diesel a particulate filter is used.

An engine marked CRDI does not have any weak points or common faults. However, in cars older than 10 years it is unlikely to be able to avoid problems with injectors, turbochargers and dual-mass flywheels. But this is the norm for high age and mileage, as well as malfunctions of the exhaust gas recirculation system. However, all of the above items are relatively cheap and not prohibitively expensive to repair.

What is noteworthy is that the dual-mass flywheel of a 112-horsepower diesel engine wears out faster. It's all about the torque curve, which almost never falls and increases rapidly. Car enthusiasts who are accustomed to driving low revs, must take this point into account. Great advantage of this motor– simple design of the turbocharger and its great resource. The cost of a new turbocharger is from 40 to 60 thousand rubles.

The only element worth paying attention to is the damper control system intake manifold. Its malfunction is manifested by a decrease in power and sluggish acceleration in the middle and higher speed range. But, fortunately, nothing breaks off and gets into the engine.

The engine does not require complex service. It is better to plan a timing belt replacement at a mileage of 90-120 thousand km (16,000 rubles for a set with a pump), and an oil update - no later than 10,000 km. An unscheduled service visit may occur due to the DPF filter (if equipped). Considering the cost of the car and the new one particulate filter(70,000 rubles) it’s better not to think about replacement. It's easier to remove it.

Gearboxes also do not cause any particular problems. The machine will last a long time provided that the oil is changed regularly - every 50,000 km. The multi-disc clutch is also quite reliable.

Things are a little worse with cardan shaft. The design before 2006 required replacing the driveshaft assembly with support if any play appeared. Alternative option There was the possibility of restoration repairs in an unofficial service. After 2006, the design changed, allowing both the shaft and the support to be replaced separately, which significantly reduced the cost of repairs.

Hyundai Tucson does not have serious problems with electrics, although sometimes a sensor, for example, temperature, may fail exhaust gases. The suspension also turned out to be quite durable. The front axle transverse arm has removable silent blocks and ball joint. On the rear axle there are only two simple levers for each wheel and a strut resembling a MacPherson strut in design.

Operating costs.

Hyundai Tussan can be considered one of the cheapest to operate in its class. All thanks to comparatively high reliability and low repair costs. There are quite a lot of substitutes, and the cost of original spare parts from dealers is much lower than similar components in Toyota or Mitsubishi services.

Conclusion.

Hyundai Tucson is very lucky car which has the only drawback– small trunk. Although some may seem to be a serious disadvantage and the absence really strong engine. Generally, korean crossover Quite reliable and cheap to operate.

The Hyundai Tucson has always been in the leading position in the top sales of crossovers in Russia, and it was recently updated in March. At the New York Auto Show, a restyled 3rd generation model was shown, which at first glance seems to be a new generation.

The changes affected the appearance, interior and, most importantly, the technical part, which rarely happens with restyling. Even before the review itself, it should be said that this is a full-fledged work, and not a cheap marketing ploy to raise interest and increase sales.

Design

The first thing a buyer pays attention to is appearance. Here, when viewed from afar, it seems that the bumper and headlights have been slightly adjusted, but looking closer you can see that there are much more changes.

At the front we see a high, flowing hood, emphasized by narrow diode optics. Daytime running lights will always be LED, and diode optics with washers appear with the Lifestyle package.

In the center, the aggressive style is emphasized by a new chrome radiator grille; again, chrome will only be in top versions; the base Hyundai Tussan 2018-2019 will receive a silver plastic edging. The massive bumper has acquired more muscular shapes, stylish fog lights, which are already installed in the base, and small plastic protection.

Changes in expansion are visible from the side wheel arches, a change in the style of the upper aerodynamic line and essentially that’s it. The top line originates from the front arch, passes over the door handles, and near the rear handle it is divided into two, passing into the upper and central part rear optics. Chrome on the door handles also appeared only in expensive trim levels, as did the lower glass trim.

From behind we see a more familiar shape, but retouched. The style of optics has changed, becoming smoother, but with aggression due to narrowing. The trunk lid swelled and the bumper became flatter. An electric trunk lid will appear only in top trim levels.

The body dimensions have remained virtually unchanged:

  • length – 4480 mm;
  • width – 1850 mm;
  • height – 1655 mm;
  • wheelbase – 2670 mm;
  • ground clearance– 182 mm.

Well, the changes are serious, there are many of them and they all give the appearance a fresh look. The crossover will now be more noticeable on the road; the aggressive style of the Hyundai Tucson will help the manufacturer attract young buyers and is unlikely to upset the adult audience.

The color palette has been slightly affected. Suggested:

  • white – basic;
  • bright red – basic;
  • brown;
  • black;
  • red;
  • dark green;
  • metallic gray;
  • light beige metallic;
  • metallic silver;
  • dark blue metallic;
  • dark blue metallic.

All colors except the basic ones will cost the buyer 15,000 rubles.

Heavily modified interior

The interior architecture has not been touched, but the style has become more modern. We see the same dashboard split into two parts, but now it has become more swollen and muscular. In some trim levels, the central part of the dashboard is sheathed in carbon fiber.

The seats remain the same; in the base they are mechanically adjustable and covered with fabric. In expensive trim levels, leather and electrical adjustments appear. The color of fabric or leather can be chosen, black and beige are available. At the back there is a regular sofa, free space enough, plus there is a folding armrest with two cup holders.

Optionally, there is a huge panorama on the roof, which rear passengers can fully enjoy.

The 3-spoke steering wheel of the 2018-2019 Hyundai Tussan with leather trim and multimedia control buttons has not changed at all. The dashboard has been slightly affected, the visualization has changed, but it still consists of 2 analog gauges and an informative 4.2-inch on-board computer in the center.

The center console on top received a new 8-inch multimedia display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Below is the same separate climate control unit with a monitor and washers. The tunnel was changed and a platform for a smartphone with wireless charging. On the tunnel there is a gearshift lever, two cup holders and several buttons for setting driving modes.

The trunk remained unchanged, in its initial state the volume is 488 liters, and with the rear sofa folded down it is 1478 liters. Under the floor there is a full-size spare wheel and a repair kit.

Specifications

Type Volume Power Torque Overclocking Maximum speed Number of cylinders
Petrol 2.0 l 150 hp 192 H*m 10.6 sec. 186 km/h 4
Petrol 1.6 l 177 hp 265 H*m 9.1 sec. 201 km/h 4
Diesel 2.0 l 185 hp 400 H*m 9.5 sec. 201 km/h 4

The range of power units has not changed; three engines are also offered:

  1. R2.0 Diesel – diesel 2-liter turbo engine at 185 Horse power and 400 H*m of torque. The engine consumes 8 liters in the city and 5.4 on the highway. The dynamics are 9.5 seconds and 201 km/h maximum speed;
  2. Gamma 1.6 Turbo-GDI D-CVVT is a 1.6-liter gasoline unit for the 2018-2019 Hyundai Tucson, producing 177 horses and 265 units of torque. Passport consumption is 9 liters in the city and 6.5 liters on the highway. The maximum speed is at the same level, and acceleration to hundreds is 9.1 seconds;
  3. Nu 2.0 MPI D-CVVT – 2-liter gasoline internal combustion engine, operating without turbines and producing 150 horsepower and 192 units of torque. Here the consumption is already higher - 10.7 liters in the city and 6.3 liters on the highway. The maximum speed does not exceed 186 km/h, and acceleration to hundreds is a maximum of 10.6 seconds.

The engines are paired with a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed hydromechanical automatic, or a 7-speed robot for the 1.6-liter engine. On most trim levels, the torque is transmitted to the front axle, but there are all-wheel drive modifications powered by the HTRAC control system.

Suspension, brakes and steering of the new Tussan

Regardless of the configuration, the car sits on an independent suspension with anti-roll bars on two axles. The front axle is MacPherson strut, the rear axle is multi-link. Handling has become better, in addition to the suspension itself, electronic systems help with control.

The crossover stops due to disc brakes with ventilation on the front axle. Steering rack and pinion with electric booster. Because of this, the information content is not the best, but still not bad. The number of steering revolutions is 2.51, the turning radius is 5.3 meters.

Safety

The manufacturer has installed many travel safety systems:

  • Automatic braking in front of an obstacle, analyzing information through the front camera;
  • Analysis through the rear camera, which automatically stops the car when leaving the parking lot if another car is driving;
  • Classic blind spot monitoring;
  • Automatic switching of the optics to low beam in the event of an oncoming car;
  • Adaptive cruise control;
  • Lane control.

All these technologies, a durable body and 6 airbags allowed us to receive the maximum Euro NCAP rating of 5 stars. All these systems are already familiar to the owners.

Hyundai Tucson price

The cost of the new crossover has increased slightly. There are many configurations offered, the price of each of which you can see in the table. You can look at the equipment of the packages on the manufacturer’s website; we will tell you about the minimum and maximum versions.

The basic configuration Primary costs 1,399,000 rubles, its equipment:

  • air conditioner;
  • tire pressure sensor;
  • Cruise control;
  • 17-inch wheels;
  • fabric upholstery;
  • leather steering wheel;
  • anti-fog optics;
  • heated front seats;
  • light sensor;
  • audio system with USB, AUX and Bluetooth.

The top version of High-Tech Plus costs 2,089,000 rubles, it is replenished with:

  • blind spot monitoring system;

The new Hyundai Tussan 2018-2019 has become truly better and more attractive as a purchase. Studying the review, you get very excited, because the car is cool for a small price tag, but carefully study the equipment before purchasing. Unfortunately, even the visual coolness in basic version not the same as in the top, but it costs much more.

Video review of Tucson

Hyundai Tucson - front- or all-wheel drive SUV compact segment, combining attractive design, practical and functional interior, modern technical “stuffing” and a good level of equipment... Its main the target audience– urban residents with above-average income (regardless of age and gender), who periodically leave the metropolis...

The Hyundai Tucson SUV in its third incarnation, the predecessor of which was known in Russia and Europe under the name ix35, made its official debut in 2015 - at the March automobile show in Geneva (although its preliminary premiere took place a month before this event in Berlin). The car has surpassed the previous model in all respects - it has become larger, more beautiful, more powerful and more technologically advanced.

In April 2018, at the New York International Auto Show, the premiere of a restyled all-terrain vehicle took place, which was slightly “refreshed” in appearance, received a thoroughly redesigned interior decoration and received new equipment. The five-door was not without technical updates - an 8-speed automatic transmission was added in tandem with the diesel engine (instead of a 6-speed unit).

“Tussan” looks like a real sturdier with a relief design and harmonious outlines, perceived as very “European”. The signature cascading radiator grille, aggressive lighting with LED elements extending far into the wings, and a sculpted bumper give the car’s “face” boldness and expressiveness, hinting at its sporty character.

The sides of the body are no less stylishly designed - the falling contours of the roof, tending to meet the rising line of the “window sill”, powerful contours of the wheel arches and elegant stamping, emphasizing the dynamism of the SUV even in static conditions.

The designers' inspiration did not ignore the lean stern - elegant wide lights, flowing lines and dual pipes exhaust system trapezoidal configuration.

The "third" Hyundai Tucson is a representative of the community compact crossovers: 4475 mm in length, 1850 mm in width and 1645 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2670 mm. The minimum ground clearance of the car is 182 mm.

Depending on the modification, its “combat” weight varies from 1454 to 1854 kg.

Inside, the third generation Tussan has a strict, classic and modern design, and at the same time it is well designed in ergonomic terms. A multifunctional steering wheel with a clearly defined relief, informative instruments with a 4.2-inch “window” of the on-board computer and a massive front panel with a protruding 7-inch screen and a stylish climate control unit in the center - in terms of interior decoration, the Korean crossover is able to “fight” even with more status cars. But in the basic configuration everything is much more modest.

The interior of the Hyundai Tucson is available in three color options, and it is made mainly from high-quality finishing materials, although there are also hard plastics. “Top” versions “show off” genuine leather with perforated inserts and decorative elements “like metal”.

The front seats of the SUV have a comfortable and friendly profile and wide ranges adjustments, but the support on the sides is poorly developed. In the gallery too full order– a sufficient supply of space in all directions, an adjustable backrest angle, separate “climate” air ducts, and on expensive solutions also dual-mode heating.

Stowed cargo compartment The third generation Tussana can accommodate up to 488 liters of luggage, and this includes a full-size spare tire in the underground.

The back of the rear sofa is transformed into a pair of unequal parts (6 to 4), fitting into a horizontal platform and bringing the useful volume to 1478 liters.

For the “third” Hyundai Tucson 2019 model year on Russian market There are three engines to choose from, a similar number of gearboxes and two types of drive:

  • Engine compartment basic modifications occupied by a petrol 2.0-liter “four” with a distributed power system, the output of which is 150 horsepower at 6200 rpm and 192 Nm of possible torque at 4000 rpm. It is assisted by a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
    Depending on the modification, such a “Tussan” overcomes the starting jerk to 100 km/h in 10.3-11.8 seconds, accelerates to 180-186 km/h and on average “eats” 7.9-8.3 liters of fuel in mixed driving mode.
  • The “top” gasoline option is a 1.6-liter unit with turbocharging and direct delivery of the combustible mixture, generating 177 “mares” at 5500 rpm and 265 Nm of torque in the range from 1500 to 4500 rpm.
    In combination with a 7-speed robot with two clutches and an all-wheel drive transmission, it provides the car with a maximum speed of 201 km/h, acceleration from zero to 100 km/h in 9.1 seconds and a “rated” consumption of 7.5 liters.
  • The third “release” of Hyundai Tucson is completed and diesel installation– 2.0-liter “direct” turbo engine, in the bins of which there are 185 horsepower (at 4000 rpm) and 400 Nm of thrust, produced in the range from 1750 to 2750 rpm. It is equipped exclusively with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
    The first three-digit digit of the speedometer needle on diesel crossover reaches after 9.5 seconds, and stops only when it reaches 201 km/h. For every “hundred” of travel, he spends only 6 liters of diesel fuel.

All-wheel drive on the “Korean” is implemented according to a standard scheme for crossovers - an electro-hydraulic clutch is responsible for selecting torque to the rear wheels, regulating the amount of traction on the front and rear axles. Under normal conditions, the potential distribution automatically changes in the range from 100:0 to 60:40, but the clutch can be closed forcibly, dividing the torque between the wheels “fraternally”.

The third generation Tussant is based on a seriously modernized platform from its predecessor with a transversely mounted power unit And independent suspension On both axles there are MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link design with anti-roll bar at the rear.

The steering system of the crossover “shows off” a mechanism rack type, which is supplemented electric amplifier with variable characteristics.

The brakes on all wheels are disc brakes (ventilated on the front axle), and they are assisted by modern systems - ABS, EBD, ESP and others.

Restyled Hyundai on the Russian market Tucson third generation is sold in six trim levels to choose from - “Primary”, “Family”, “Lifestyle”, “Dynamic”, “High-Tech” and “High-Tech plus”.
